We chatted, and we didn't even realize how fast time flew. Nicolaides was busy with his work, so he wasn't present. Theo and Eros joined us for dinner and brought a lively energy to the dinner table. As we wrapped up the dinner.

As we finished our dinner, my phone pinged with a message from Dominic

Dominic: Come downstairs, I'm waiting.
Me: I'll be there in 10 mins.

With a tender kiss on both children's cheeks, I hugged Iris and then Layla, exchanging warm goodbyes. As Layla and I exchanged phone numbers, I grabbed my purse to leave, but out of nowhere, she came close and whispered in my ear, "I know a few tips. Do you wanna know? I read them in my smutty books," Layla said with a playful grin, prompting Iris to roll her eyes at the mention of the books. Unable to resist my curiosity, I asked, "What tips?"

Layla clapped her hand as a proud professor and whispered in my ear. "So listen carefully, my child."
"Visit Victoria's Secret with your husband. I bet he'll go crazy. Oh one more thing, call him daddy during..."

"Stop, Layla! I get it, I get it now," I interrupted with flushed cheeks, swiftly bidding her goodbye. The suggestive ideas left me embarrassed as I made my way to the lift. As I stepped outside, the cool night air embraced me. I looked around and spotted Dominic leaning against the car bonnet, engrossed in a phone call. Catching sight of me, he swiftly ended the conversation, a warm smile spreading across his face. He quickly came to me and kissed me sweetly.

"I miss you," my heart did a flip-flop hearing him say that he missed me.

"I miss you too, Nic," I replied, kissing my hand after hearing my confession, he led me to the car. As the car cruised through the streets of New York, I suddenly felt a vibration in my purse. I couldn't help but glance at him with the corner of my eyes. I bit my lips to suppress my laughter and looked outside the window. Leaning back in my seat, I closed my eyes. After a few minutes, Dominic, still focused on driving, casually mentioned.

"Your phone is vibrating in your purse, Victoria," he remarked, and I couldn't help but lose control and burst into laughter right in front of him.

"It's not the phone, Nic," I said breathless in between my laugh.

"Huh?" At first, he didn't understand, but moments later, as he grasped what I said, he gave me a sidelong glance. A few minutes later, abruptly, he brought the car to a stop.

Peering out the window, I observed a desolate road flanked by trees and a dirt path. Confused, I looked at him with a questioning expression, but as our eyes met, I forgot how to breathe.

"Dominic... why...a..."

"Come here, Victoria."

"Dominic..."

And in the next minute, I found myself sitting on his thigh.

"What..."

"Ssshhh... I'm angry with you, Cára."

"But I didn't do anything." I shrugged, raising my hands in innocence.

"Hmm... you didn't?" He arched an eyebrow, his expression teasing.

"Okay okay, I agree I did a few things but..." I fidgeted with my fingers nervously. "Okay, I'm sorry," I admitted, my palms facing upwards in a pleading gesture.

"Apology isn't accepted," he said with a sigh, leaning back in his seat.

"Okay, then I take back my apology. I wasn't sincere in the first place." I crossed my armson my chest.
