"That's your answer Y/n, no you cannot go to that sex spot" my father said as he collected another file from his assistant
"First off, Dad! It's not a sex spot it's a college party and secondly, I'm not a child, I'm old enough to make my own decision, and I'm deciding I want to go" I took a deep breath and squinted my eyes at him trying to look scary and serious
Closing the open file on his desk, he lifted his head to look at me while his assistant stood beside him with that stupid, close eyed smile.

And if it was in the past, I probably would have bolted it out of his office, but this time was different, this time I'm going to prove that I'm old enough to be out late at nighttime, and that I should have the opportunity to go to big girl's parties
"Dad" I answered back

A tinted blush made its way to my face as I nodded my head. Since mom died, dad rarely ever voiced his emotions, so hearing him tell me he loves me brings me utterly joy
"And all I want is the best for you. I do value your emotions and decisions, but you going to that party is very dangerous, do you understand sweetheart"

"Good girl, now go on and do your homework" he replied as he went back to look at the company's document While that stupid assistant of his kept his smile throughout the conversation
I went back to my room and to call my best friend and inform her that I won't be going to the party

"You're such a daddy's girl. It's just one night, and I promise I'll be by your side the whole time" her voice resonated through the phone
"I don't know" I replied, not wanting to disobey my father but not wanting to disappoint my best friend
"Please y/n, just this once and I promise I won't ask you to go ever again" I sighed as I remember all the times I couldn't get to hang out with her because my father was too overprotective
"Ok, but just this once" I agreed, I smiled as I heard her celebrating and talking about which clothes to wear.
