As someone who cannot have a normal conversation myself, trying to write one down was unexplainably diffucult.

Anyways, enjoy this chapter!

Orange

In this moment, a bond is formed,

Two hearts reaching out to each other.

Their words painting a picture,

Of a friendship waiting to bloom.

....................................

After a few minutes, the two humans stopped talking to each other. The new human walked off with a final glance at Orange, leaving him and his new friend alone together again.

Orange glanced curiously at his friend, but the human was looking at something else. Orange also looked in that direction, trying to find what they were looking at.

Just beside of the doors Orange entered the park through, was a screen. It was on a stand, which had wheels at the bottom. It was obvious that it was new, as neither of them had seen it before.

The screen had one image showing, and it briefly flickered every now and then, Orange noticed, as the two walked closer.

The image had two little charts. Both were quite simple. So simple, in fact, that Orange was able to read them.

The first had a picture of some sort of item. Orange couldn't quite tell what it was from the image. There was an arrow going from the item to a picture of a cake.

The bottom chart showed the picture of the cake on the left, with an arrow going from that to a picture of a Lookie.

Orange tilted his head, confused, as he contemplated the meaning of the image. He didn't understand what the cake's meaning was in all of this. However, the human seemed to understand.

Then the human seemed to notice Orange's confusion, and quickly pulled him by the arm over to the orange-colored ramp that he had seen on his way to Purple's maze.

Orange looked around, and recognized it as the place that he had entered through the last time he came to the park, when he was checking on his friends. It was the rollercoaster.

As Orange looked up the ramp, he then saw what the human was showing him. Right in the entrance of the rollercoaster, there was a massive blue Lookie blocking the way.

Orange gasped in surprise, as he was certainly not expecting it. As he stared at it, he wondered how in the rainbow that had gotten there. He had never seen a Lookie that big before.

Orange had struggled to keep them under control before....but this one? He was sure that it could squish him if it tried.

The human picked up a bag that was next to them and held it up for Orange to see. Orange sniffed it, and realized that it was a bag of sugar, telling from the sweet smell.

Then suddenly, it all clicked in his mind. The chart was telling them to make a cake with the sugar, and feed it to the Lookie.

Orange narrowed his eyes as he thought about how a Lookie would even consume a cake. Last time he checked, they didn't even have mouths.

Orange tensed up as the human suddenly reached down and gripped his hand in their own. He met their eyes, and then he seemed to understand what they were trying to say.

They just had to trust the process if they wanted to make it out alive.

Orange sighed as he realized just what all of the humans had to go through every time the Rainbow Friends hunted people.

It was...terrifying. The constant threat seemed to be eating up his every thought.

He had barely been able to catch a breath since he started. There were just...so many Rainbow Friends.

And the humans would never make it out alive. They were just being played with, manipulated, given false hope, only to have it ripped away from them at the last second, when they would be inevitably killed.

As Orange realized this, he looked up at the human with guilt.

What if he was giving them false hope?

Was he...making things worse? What if they died, all while thinking that he had betrayed them?

Orange stepped away from them, suddenly unsure again. The human let their hand fall back down to their side as they suddenly seemed upset. Or maybe it was concern that they were feeling.

He took a deep breath. He had told himself many times now that it was too late to back out, but now he couldn't help but wonder if he should.

As the human gripped the bag of sugar, they stepped towards him again. This time, he didn't move away, but he didn't look at them either.

He remembered how he had saved the human from Green, and then from Purple. Then how they had saved him from Yellow.

They seemed to make a good team. If only the circumstances had been different. Maybe it really was for the best that he just left now.

Orange took a deep breath, preparing to tell the human, when they heard more stomping in the distance. He groaned as he also heard snapping of jaws.

Orange and the human both seemed to have the same idea, and both rushed for the door at the top of the ramp. Orange let the human enter first, and the two of them climbed down the ladder and entered the small room that waited for them.

Orange let out a sigh of relief, his heart had been pounding, and he could now hear it as the two friends caught their breath.

After a minute, Orange slumped against one of the desks with another sigh, although this time it was one of weariness. He still wasn't sure if he wanted to see this through.

Then, suddenly, there was a small banging coming from behind him. Orange jumped up and turned around, only to see the desk, with all of the papers and computers on top of it. He studied it closely, trying to find the source of the noise.

Just then, something caught his eye. It was a small little gadget on the desk. Orange gasped slightly, slowly reaching out to touch it. It was very small and round.

The human peered over his shoulder, having heard him gasp in surprise, as Orange tentatively picked it up. He gently turned it around in his claws, observing it closely.

It didn't seem to do much, except for one blinking red light on the side. Orange narrowed his eyes.

"What...is this?" He muttered to himself, trying to figure out what it did. He tried to pry it open with his claws, leaning over the desk as he tried to hook his claws into it.

The human put their one free hand on his shoulder once again, causing Orange to almost throw it into the air. Orange turned around, the human was staring at him with an odd look again.

Was his tail wagging again? Orange turned to look, only to realize that it wouldn't have made sense. He glanced back up at the human, a little worried.

And then...the human spoke.

"Did you just...say something?"
