Before the precession of people raced to the stream, Chikorita and Pikachu were innocently chatting when they heard a deep growl. The scanned the trees, terrified, and spotted two glowing red eyes staring back at them. They began to back away when it leaped out at them. They were amazed and petrified at the same time. It was Giritina, the legendary anti-matter pokémon.

They fled and hid in a bush. It pierced their eardrums with another roar, and searched for them. When it wasn't looking, they snuck away and darted off into the forest. They didn't look back, fearing that Giritina would notice their escape.

They ran until they reached the edge of the woods. They saw a road on the edge and ran towards it. When they finally came to a halt, they were out of breath and breathing deeply. Pikachu looked up and saw a sign by the road. It read:

WELCOME TO

VIRIDIAN CITY

"Pika pika!" he gasped.

Chikorita looked up. She had an exhausted look on her face. She looked ill, and suddenly fell to the ground. Pikachu ran over to her and shook her. He tried to wake her up. With no success, he slung her over his back and headed into the city.

Chikorita was like a dead weight on Pikachu's back, but it wasn't long before Pikachu saw the Pokemon Center. He dragged Chikorita through the doors and a nurse immediately ran over to them.

"Oh dear! What happened?" She asked, picking up Chikorita.

Pikachu shrugged.

"It looks like she'll be okay, but we should keep her here for a little while, just to be safe."

Pikachu nodded and followed the nurse as she led him down a long hallway full of hospital rooms. She stopped at a room marked D27 and unlocked the door. She walked over to the corner of the room and laid Chikorita down on the bed. She left for a minute or so, then came back with a small container in her hand.

"This might help her gain her conciousness again," the nurse said.

She popped a pill in Chikorita's mouth and made her swallow. Both of them sat patiently for about five minutes, and then they heard a groan. Chikorita opened her eyes.

"There we go," said the nurse. "she just passed out, that's all."

Pikachu sighed a sigh of relief. He looked out the window at all of the tall buildings and his eyes were caught on a huge skyscraper. It was made out of gray bricks and it was very dull-looking. There was a logo of some sort on the top, but it was covered up. To Pikachu, it looked like a letter R.

Pikachu turned back to Chikorita, and she looked up at him. She told him that she was feeling a lot better now, and that she could leave the Pokemon Center. Pikachu nodded and went to get the nurse. When he returned, the nurse smiled and said, "Feeling better now?"

Chikorita nodded.

"Well then," the nurse continued. "I suppose you're all ready to check out."

Chikorita got up and sat on the edge of the bed. She then stood up. The nurse guestured at the door, and the two Pokemon followed her out the door.

Chikorita and Pikachu walked out the automatic doors and looked around. "Pika pika," Pikachu said as his stomach growled. He wanted to find somewhere to eat.

Chikorita looked at him as if to say, "Me too."

The two pokemon scanned the city for any sort of resaurant. Pikachu saw one called the Seven Stars Restaurant. He nudged Chikorita and pointed to it. Chikorita smiled with excitement, for she was hungry too.
