Fireworks~ErenxReader

"Hey (y/n), would you like to see the fireworks with me tonight?" Eren says cheekily to himself in front of the mirror. He sighs.

"No, that sounds too straight forward, and a lot like Jean.." he comments before trying again in another tone.

"Hey (y/n)..I was wondering if you would like to join me in watching the fireworks tonight..." he sighs heavily slouching his shoulders.

"That sounds too...Armin-ish.." He says as he runs a hand through his brown hair, messing it up yet again.

Eren had always liked you since the day you two met. He always found it difficult to speak normally to you since whenever you were with him he just felt-well overwhelmed with emotions. He always over thought on what he was ganna say to you. Which was very rare. He usually spoke his mind and always held confidence in his voice when he spoke. But when it came to you he usually stuttered. He always tried impressing you with doing some cool tricks or making you laugh. He loved it when you laughed or they way your lips curved into a smile, and how beautiful you looked when your (h/c) hair blew in the wind or even how you spoke. He loved everything about you. He had been planning to confess to you for quit some time but he just didn't know how or where and when.

Eren paces his bedroom floor deciding if he should call you. It was the Fourth of July and he knew that was your favorite holiday, just being able to just admire the beautiful fireworks that lite the night sky. After minutes of pacing his bedroom and the thoughts that you might be busy and couldn't talk to him, or if you were already going with someone else crept up at the back of his mind and occasional glances at his phone on his bed. He finally picks it up and clicks your contact name.

He takes deep breathes trying to calm himself before you-

"Hello?" You say through the phone. Eren tenses at the sound of your voice echoing in his ears, making his stomach knot. he drew in one last deep breath before speaking. Trying to sound as cool and calm as Levi.

"H-hey (y/n).." He stutters. He face palms himself feeling dumb and embarrassed.

"I-I was, well..wondering if you'd like to come with me and see the fireworks." He says into the phone, waiting eagerly for your response.

"O-oh yeah, of course. I'd love to join you. I was actually about to call you myself and ask you the same thing." You say happily. A smile spreads across his face.

"Really..?" He asks.

"Yeah, well I guess you beat me to it. But I would love to go with you." you say, and he could hear a smile in your voice.

"Y-yeah me too..." He says shyly. You giggle at how cute he sounded when stuttering.

"Alrighty then Eren. I'll see you around 8?" You ask.

"Yeah, that sounds perfect." Eren says still smiling.

"Good. Well I'll see you soon then, Eren."

"Yeah, See you soon.." Eren sad before ending the call. He smiles like an idiot as he stands in his room, still holding his phone tight in his hands.

8:00 was nearing faster and faster. Again, Eren paced his room trying to get his thoughts together. He was extremely nervous. He had gone through his plan over and over again. Repeating what he was planning to say to you when the fireworks started. He would occasionally look into his mirror and check if he looked decent enough.

Finally 8:00 came and he took one last glimpse at himself in the mirror, making sure his hair and everything was perfect before heading out to meet you. You both decided to meet each other at the beach since that was your favorite place to see the fireworks. After a few minutes of him trying to find a parking space Eren pulls up to one free space. He kills the engine and steps out his car.

The smell of the salt water hits him and he could hear the waves crashing onto the shore. He proceeds to walk and try to find you with his hands deep in his pockets.

"Hey Eren!" You call behind him. He stops and turns to meet your beautiful (e/c) eyes. And your hair bouncing off your shoulders as you run to catch up to him. His heart speeds up and his lips slightly parted. You were wearing a double strap, white flowy dress wearing open toe sandals with your (h/c) hair down. It was simple but he thought it looked amazing.

You finally catch up to him, a wide smile plastered on your face. "h-hey
(y/n)." Eren greets you still amazed at how beautiful you looked.

"You look-stunning." he mutter to himself not thinking you would hear it, but you do and you giggle.

"You think so?" You ask teasingly. He blushes, before nodding. You smile.

"And you don't look too bad yourself Eren." You say. He was wearing just a plain grey v neck shirt with a hoodie with khaki pants and red vans. He chuckles.

"Why thank you."

"Hurry-let's go so we find a good seat!" You tell happily taking his arm and leading the way. He's taken by surprise and stumbles after you. You then let his arms go and take his hand. He blushes furiously but gladly takes your hand.
You both walk to the beach seeing how crowded it was. You pout seeing every good spot was taken. You Then get an idea and lead him to the pier and he follows beside you.

After pushing through many people who were here as the same reason you two are, and after many times of Eren looking down and seeing the ocean right under him and squeezing you hand a little tighter, you two finally get a good view. It overlooked the sea perfectly. You release his hand from your grip and admire the sea. It was sunset and Eren stood beside you admiring it with you. He glanced over at you and saw that spark in your eyes whenever you looked at something you loved or did. And he kept falling in love with you even more. soon the fireworks were about to start and Eren was going through what he was going to say to you over in his head.

Something bright shot up in the sky and exploded lighting up the sky. The sea reflected it making it even more beautiful. You followed each spark that shot up and waited for it to explode in the sky. Smiling while they did. Eren did the same but quickly remembered why me had brought you here. He looked over at you again seeing that smile he loved.

He taps your shoulder for your attention. And your turn, your (e/c) eyes meeting his emerald ones. He blushes at how close you were. He takes a deep breath.

"(Y/n) I've..well I've always loved you and-"

"Kaboom~" another firework bursts cutting him off mid sentence. He looks at you seeing if you heard anything he said. you look at him, confusion written across your face. You couldn't hear him, his voice was muffled by the sound of the fireworks exploding.

"What? I can't hear you-" you yell.

"I love you (y/n)-" he tries again, but yet again another one bursts. And another. You stare at his lips trying to read them.

"Kaboom~" another, and another. It was bearing the ending of the fireworks and he had to hurry. You continue to stare at his lips trying understand what he was trying to say. He finally gives up on talking and instead finds another way to let you know how he felt. He cups your cheek in one hand and leans down and presses his lips against yours in a sweet kiss. A shock of electricity runs trough your body and Your eyes widen in shock for a moment before you understand and kiss back. Your lips molding perfectly together. It felt like sparks were flying. Sparks that even a firework couldn't beat.

Fireworks burst here and there, you both couldn't see them but you knew it was an amazing. Eren pulled away staring into your eyes, not letting you go. you smile at him.

"So that's how you feel?" You ask. He blushes.

"Yeah, (y/n) I've loved you ever since-forever!" Eren says emphasizing the 'forever' part. You giggle, continuing to listen to him.

"I really have. But I never knew how to tell you. So I'll say it again. I love you (y/n). I love everything about you, the way you smile and how that alone can brighten my day and how your eyes lighten up when you do anything you love. " He says staring deeply into your (e/c) eyes. You're quite for a moment before you smile and go onto your tip toes and kiss him again. His eyes widen but kisses back, wrapping his arms around your waist. You pull away.

"You always beat me to things don't you Eren?" You say.
