Yeonjun's POV:

I was kind of nervous when I came back home, taking a deep breath as I got my keys out of my pocket. I hesitated before I unlocked my apartment door, and the lights were still on. I guess I would've assumed Soobin had gone to get his car by now, but I heard him cooking instead. I peeked my head into the kitchen, seeing how he was mixing something around in a pan. He didn't notice me, bopping his head since he had earbuds in.

I chuckled to myself, and the music must've been loud because he didn't hear me at all. I dropped my bag by the door, taking my shoes off and having to kneel down in order to straighten them out perfectly. I hung my jacket up on the hook closest to the door, seeing how Soobin's military jacket was hung on the opposite side of mine. It made me smile that he remembered that, turning around and walking over towards the kitchen.

He had his white shirt from last night tucked into his uniform pants, the same thing he was wearing from before. I crossed my arms over my chest, leaning my shoulder against the fridge as I yelled, "Soobin!" to get his attention.

He suddenly flinched and turned around, bringing the spatula up as some sort of defense mechanism. He took a breath when it was just me and reached up to take the earbuds out of his ears. I was giggling, and Soobin shyly said, "S-Sorry."

He took his phone out of his pocket, stopping the song and placing it down on the counter along with the headphones. I teased him, "So, you spend the night here and then steal my food, hmm?"

He chuckled along with me, bringing his free hand up to rub the back of his neck, "It's for you too..." He turned the stove off, placing the spatula down on the counter next to the stove right after. He looked back at me, "I-I cleaned, but this place is already spotless, so it looked like I did nothing..." He added, glancing around my apartment for a few seconds before looking back at me, "I just wanted to say thank you somehow. I-It's just fried rice."

I smiled wider, "That's really sweet of you. You didn't have to do anything."

He raised an eyebrow, "I don't really care what you say; I was going to."

We both laughed at what he said, being more awkward than anything else. His mood suddenly shifted, "Oh!..." He took a step closer to me, leaning on the counter and pointing to his face, "Do you know how I got a black eye? I noticed it earlier."

I got nervous, my heart beating faster, "Sort of—At least from what you told me last night..." I replied, pushing myself off the fridge, "You said you got into a fight with Eric."

He closed his eyes and sighed for a moment, "Yeah, I was afraid of that..." He took a deep breath once he opened his eyes again, "Damn, I was really stupid last night, huh? I still don't remember anything."

I pursed my lips together, shoving my hands into my pockets, "O-Ok umm... I have to tell you something, but you have to promise not to freak out."

He scrunched his eyebrows at my reply, "Uhh... Ok, I guess."

"Because it's really not a big deal and it's fine." I added to my sentence, almost forgetting that he already replied.

He was more confused, "Ok, what is it? You're scaring me."

I brought a hand up, scratching the back of my head as I mumbled, "You kind of... kissed me last night..." His eyes widened in an instant, and I quickly added, "It's not a big deal, I swear. A-And you promised you wouldn't freak out about it."

He just stared at me, similar to when he completely froze the other day while trying to ask me out, "I kissed you?" He quietly asked, like he didn't believe it the first time.
