Soobin's POV:
"You don't have to say it's good just to make me feel better."
He raised an eyebrow, "You know I don't do that..." He took another bite of the food I had made right after he said that, "I'm serious! It's amazing!"
I smiled softly, "It's my mom's recipe."
"Well then, I have to thank both of you, hmm?" He replied, winking at me right after.
We're on our first real date, and I promised I would make him food and we would spend the night at my place. Neither of us wanted to go out, so some red wine, dinner, and a movie was what we decided on. Both of us had the same idea to get a little dressed up; wearing button-down shirts and slacks to look a bit more presentable. Considering we see each other in our work uniforms all day, it's a big step up from normal. Yeonjun bought me flowers, so I put them in a vase and placed them next to us on the table. I wanted to look at them all night since they were so pretty. Now, every time I look at Yeonjun I see them in my peripheral vision; it's perfect.
I watched as he picked up his glass, bringing it to his lips to take a small sip of his wine. He was staring at me the whole time, a little smirk on his face when he placed his glass back down, "You're nervous."
My eyes went a little big, feeling the heat rushing to my cheeks, "What?"
"You haven't stopped bouncing your leg under the table since we sat down and you're fidgeting. Your shoulders are stiff as well."
I took a sip of my wine, my heart beating a little faster, "I thought you don't profile your coworkers." I said, smiling at him.
He placed his elbows on the table, leaning forward a bit as he softly asked, "Am I making you uncomfortable?"
I instantly shook my head, waving my hand as I replied, "No, no... Not at all."
He thought for a few seconds, "When's the last time you've been on a date?"
I brought my hand up, chuckling as I rubbed the back of my neck, "Not important..." I realized what I was doing, pausing my movements including my shaking leg. I picked up my wine glass, hesitating before I took a sip to say, "What's important is that we are finally doing this."
I took a drink and Yeonjun smiled, "We're finally together, Soob..." He reached his hand across the table as I put my glass down and I already knew what he wanted. I gently placed my hand in his, and he brought it back towards him so that he could leave a kiss on my knuckles. It was so cheesy that it made me giggle, and he whispered, "Just the two of us."
"Cheesy." I said under my breath, still loud enough for him to hear me.
He still held onto my hand, "Let me be romantic..." He whined a bit, "You deserve to have someone take care of you."
I couldn't stop smiling, "Are you going to let go of my hand?"
He shook his head, "But it fits so perfectly in mine; why would I let go?"
I chuckled, "Danny~..." I whined, pulling my hand away from him. We both settled back down, giggling as I added, "Stop being so cute."
He seemed surprised, replying as I took a bite of my food, "But you're the cute one."
I rolled my eyes, "All you do is flirt with me."
He smirked, "Is that such a bad thing?"
"I'm not used to compliments..." I said, subconsciously bouncing my leg again, "I get shy."
"Well then, I'll make you get used to them—"
Yeonjun was cut off when there was a knock on the door. It made both of us flinch since we weren't expecting it, and I turned my head towards the door. I scrunched my eyebrows, quietly saying, "Sorry." And going over to answer the door.
