Bad idea! {Paige Bueckers}

I woke up this morning at around 7:00 am because I have an 8 am class this morning. I took about 30 minutes getting ready before I decided I should probably leave so I'm not late for my class. This class is probably my farthest class. It's about a 12 minute walk.

Once I got to the east building I walked up two flights of stairs before I reached my class I got a pretty good seat as I was about 15 minutes early. It was a 1 hour long lecture on human anatomy. The most boring grossest thing in the world.

After my lecture finally ended after literally counting down the seconds. I walked out the front doors of the building. Seeing Paige's car parked right next to the side walk. I hurriedly walked over to her car as I was very excited to see her.

I opened the door and sat down in the passenger seat. I looked over to see Paige in the drivers seat wearing a grey Nike tech jacket and sweats. With a plain white t shirt underneath and her blonde hair tied back into a bun. Oh my god she looked good. "Hey" I said breaking away from the fact that I was gawking at her for way too long. "What were you staring at?" She asked me with a smirk on her face. "Oh um uh nothing you just you look good". I said as I stuttered over my words.

"Thank you look good too". She said taking her eyes off the road to give my body a Quick Look up and down. I was wearing a pair of white lulu leggings and my pink lulu define jacket. I had tied my hair up with a claw clip and slipped on my ultra mini Uggs. "You know when I first met you I did not think your type would be blonde lulu lesbians?" I said to Paige grabbing her attention.

"Who says your my type?" "Am I not ?" "No you are but what did you think my type would be?" "Mmmm probably people who play basketball to and I definitely thought you would be more of a brunette type". "Well I'm not and I could never date one of my teammates or someone I play against".

"How come?" "Well I could never date one of my teammates because ew first of all and that would just make it weird and I like girls who are shorter than me." Paige was referring to me being barely 5'2 and her being 6'0 tall. "I'm not even that short you're just abnormally large. And if you like girls who are shorter than you you can just date kk."

"You know that if she was here she would not let that slide." "Well I mean is she not?" "She is but she's still taller than you." "Yea that's because you all play basketball. And also where are we going for breakfast." "We're going to the lily's cafe".
"I love that place they have the best pancakes and French toast." I said as Paige looked at me and smiled she looked for a few more seconds just smiling and looking into my eyes.

We pulled into the parking lot and Paige parked the car before coming over to my side and opening the car door for me. "Thank you" i said smiling at her she really knows how to charm someone. We walked in and were seated in a small booth up against a window. I was looking at the menu when I looked up to find Paige staring at me.

"You stare a lot you know?" "What can I say you're just that pretty". I was going to say something right as our waitress walked up to our table. I immediately recognized her her name was Lila and I had taken multiple classes with her. "Hi my names Lila I'll be your waitress today what can I get started for you today? Oh hey it good to see you both here." She said catching me off guard. Both of us?

"Hey Lila I'll do a water please." I said setting down my menu. "Same here" Paige said avoiding eye contact with Lila. Which was surprising because she always held eye contact when talking to someone. But I was way too nervous to ask Paige. 

We just started hanging out I don't want to over step and make things awkward. Lila shortly came back with our waters and asked us what we wanted to order. "I'll do the French toast breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs." I said responding first. "I'll do the pancake breakfast with bacon and sunny side up eggs". Paige said still avoiding eye contact and speaking with a mono toned voice.

I still can't tell if it's just me or what so I'll just call Tilly when I get home and see what she says. Tilly is my best friend from my hometown in Washington DC. She's been my best friend since I can remember and she would know if this is really weird or if it's just me because most of the time it's just me.

"Heyyy". Paige said waving her hand in front of my face. "Sorry I was just thinking". "Yea I could tell you were deep in thought I asked you how your class was and you didn't respond". "Well if you're still wondering my class was so boring I was barely holding on in anticipation of being able to spend time with you."

"You flatter me to much". "I don't know if that's even possible you have the most confidence out of every single person I've ever met." "Yea when it comes to certain things but I also think I'm my biggest critic." "Why is that?" I asked taking a sip of my water. "Because I'm always the person pushing myself to be better and work harder." "Yea I guess that's true." I said back as I saw Lila approaching our table with our two plates.

"Alright I have a French toast breakfast and a pancake breakfast." She said as she set down our plates in front of us. "No thank you I think we're good" I said as Paige continued to hang her head low and avoid any contact with Lila. Ok this was weird now.

Me and Paige ate our breakfast and had small conversation about the team their upcoming game and a few other things. Once we were finished we drove back to my dorm and she dropped me off. "Bye Paige" "Bye Chloe".

As soon as I got into my dorm room I unlocked my phone and called Tilly. "Hey girl how's everything?" She asked as soon as she answered. "Are you in public" I asked quickly. "No why?" "Because I have something to tell you. Ok so you know how I've been hanging out with some of the girls on the team well me and Paige have been hanging out a lot and this morning we went to breakfast-." "Wait what you have been hanging out with THE PAIGE BUECKERS". "Yea i have u was gonna tell you sooner but with work and school you know." "Yea I know anyways back to you and Paige." "Ok well so we went to breakfast and it was going good until our waitress came up. I knew her from some classes but then she said it's good to see you both? I was like both? But then Paige was avoiding eye contact and not looking at her. Is that weird or is that just me?"

"No that's weird it's not just you that's weird you should ask her about that". After that me and Tilly just caught up on our lives. But as we were talking I decided I would talk to Paige about it tomorrow after their game. I didn't want to stress her out before her game.
