Chapter 2

8 year leap.
It's 1:00 pm at Malhotra Mansion and Manik just got woken up by his mother giving him an angry looking.
Niyonkia: Manik DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS??!!!
Manik: ummm... Good Morning mom
Niyonika: oh toh tumhe lagta hai ki abhi subha hai, apna phone check Karo Manik
Manik checks his phone and jumps up
Manik: maa apna muje uthaya nahi, Akko pata hai na ki do baje fab 5 practice hai, you I need to be there at 1:45 why didn't you wake me earlier
Niyonkia: I remember you telling me " mom I put an alarm to wake me up in the morning, so you don't need to wake me up I'll get up myself" kuch Yad araha hai
Manik: ha woh actually ummm......
Niyonika: ab jaldhi se utho aur tiyar hojo warna late hojauge
Manik goes to the bathroom take shower and gets ready,he wears his school uniform and sets his hair.
He goes down has his brunch (breakfast and lunch) and rushes to the there practice area which is at the school music room (they are all 14 year olds) everyone is in their uniforms since they practice in school (since they are a very good band the school gave permission for them to practice there on Saturdays and Sundays). Cabir is on the drums, Mukti has the electronic guitar, Dhruv is on the acoustic guitar, Alya is on the keyboard and Manik is on the mike with his guitar. They first play their "practice or warm-up" tune and then they all sit on the chairs and discuss what is the next song they want to prepare for the upcoming concert. They all go to YouTube and look up songs they can do for their audience just then Dhruv come along a song "Kabar Nahi" they listen to it and like it, so they chose that song. Manik looks at the lyrics on his phone and everyone else works on the background music. Just then Manik calls both the girls and ask both of them to chose one girl to sing the girl part Mukti says Alya can sing since Alya has a soft and cute voice, they both agree, Manik and Alya start working on the lyrics well the others get the instruments they need and start practicing the background music.
Manik: Alya do you need any help with your part or you are fine with it
Alya: No, Manik I am fine with it but thanks anyways
Manik: ok let's do one more and we'll tell the others we are ready
Alya: ok
And the practice the song without music
They go to others and start practicing with others.
After many tries they are perfect with everything.
Cabir: ok let's take a break
Mukti: Ya sure lets go for ice cream its very hot outside
Manik: sure let's go to the beach and eat ice cream there we chill out there as well
Dhruv: Ya guys lets go there it's been a long time we didn't chill out at the beach
Alya: ok then who's car are we going in guys
Manik: no one's car let's go on our cycles it will be we can also race each other
Cabir: ok then the race is on let's go to Manik's house all our bikes are there
Manik: let's get in the car and go to my place
They all hope in the car, Mukti and Cabir are enjoying the wind by the sun roof. They reach Malhotra Mansion and rush to the garage. Manik got his red cycle, Cabir got his yellow cycle, Dhruv got his black cycle, Mukti got her blue and black cycle and Alya got her girly pink bike.
Mukti: race you all to the beach
Alya: do we have to race, what if my skirt gets muddy
Cabir: delicate darling it won't hurt if your skirt gets messy once
Dhruv: guys you three can race you, I don't feel like racing me and Alya will ride normally and eventually catch up
Manik: ok guys these 2 don't want to race so it only the 3 of us
Mukti: let's do this ready everyone Alya can u do the count down
Alya: On Your Marks...... Get Set...... GOO
They they all sped their way. First Cabir was in the lead. And stayed for 1/4 of the race the Mukti came in lead while Manik and Cabir were tied, then Manik and Cabir caught up to Mukti and they were racing and in the last part Manik went very fast and won the race Mukti and Cabir were tied. Meanwhile Alya and Dhruv were enjoying there time talking about old days and other fun times. Manik and the others were sweating since the race was a long way.
Mukti: Manik yaar, Chalo pani ki bottle leke aate hai
Manik: Han Chalo, Cabir wait here for Alya and Dhruv we'll be back
Mukti and Manik went to get cold water. Alya and Dhruv arrived laughing and talking.
Cabir: yeh tum dono ke bech kya baat chal rahi hai, tell me also, muje bhi hase na hai
Alya: kuch nahi Cabir, woh toh hum hamari pranks aur masti ki baat kar rehe thé
Dhruv: Yaa Cabir we were just talking about the pranks we have played in school and how we have escaped all the punishments and troubles
Cabir: Yaa I remember once we threw ink on the teacher and blamed it on Sahid (drummer in NH3)
They all were laughing and Manik and Mukti came.
Manik: hey guys what r u all talking about
Mukti: we also want to laugh and have fun
Cabir: Mukti remember the time we threw ink on the teacher....
Mukti: and we blamed it on Sahid, bro that was fun, I remember he was real mad at us that day
Manik: that was a funny one but you guys really shouldn't have done that he was scolded form the teacher a lot since, it was our math teacher
Alya: ok guys go get ice cream I am soooo tired
Mukti: oya, race hum teen ne ki and you are tired
Dhruv: Mukti you know na ki yeh hamari delicate darling hai, toh shanti se pech au
Alya hit him playfully. They all laughed and headed towards the ice cream stand
Manik: guys which ice cream do you want
Alya: Choco-chips
Dhruv: same as her
Mukti: vanilla
Cabir: chocolate vanilla mix
Manik: bhai, 2 choco-chip, 2 chocolate vanilla mix aur ek vanilla ice cream
The ice cream guy gave it to them and Manik payed.
They all were walking on the beach, eating ice cream, talking and laughing till sunset.
