A few teachers still asked you what happened. Because obviously they did. You had to use every ounce of willpower you had so as to not roll your eyes at them.

You said you were sick. which wasn't entirely a lie.

The only bright moment of the day were your friends. And the fact that you found time to read.

You were talking to your friend Joyce, looking around every so often to scan the parking area.

"Dude, your willingness to stay home is seriously freaking me out." She raised her eyebrow at you.

"I live in the Avengers tower. Anyone would wanna stay in." You knew your point ended the argument then and there.

Should you tell her that a certain raven haired Prince was also the reason you loved being home?

But of course no argument with Joyce could end without her having the last word.

"Listen." She started.

She knew about almost everything.

Your powers, where you were before the Avengers took you in. She even knew about your parents.

"My boyfriend lives there too." You cut her off.

Her mouth hangs open. The 'what' getting choked in her throat. But she quickly got over her shock.

"Which one of the five would be with you? Not to mention you are underage." She looked so disapproving that you could almost forget she was the same person obsessing over Tony constantly.

"The sixth guy." You spot him and start walking to him.

"Natasha?"

"What? No. Eww. She is like a mother." But she wasn't listening to you.

"Isn't she a girl. You don't use the word boyfriend for a girl... oh!" She spotted him as he walked towards you.

"Totally forgot about him." She muttered under her breath.

She was one of the few people who hadn't forgiven Loki.

You had tried telling her why he did it but she was having none of it.

You had to have him talk to her once. His silver tongue would surely win her over.

"Oh he's definitely worse. Not to mention soooo much older."

"We're the same age."

"Y/n." He breaths when you are near enough.

His perfect face serene. "Joyce." he acknowledges her without taking his eyes off you.

"You know me." Her voice comes out all high-pitched and wrong.

You both look at her.

"Yes." He sounds unsure. And horror-striken.

You read his mind and a replay of the last time he was spotted by a fangirl is playing.

You snicker and he glares at you.

She's good I swear. She hates you. You console him.

You sure? Cause I don't-

Christina is the one who is dying to meet you. Joyce hates your guts. Won't shut up about it either. You try.

And you are friends with her still. Darling you wound me. He mocks.

Loki. You warn.
