YOU KNOW HOW THEY SAY THE 'CALMNESS BEFORE THE STORM'? Well Ash has a certain gut feeling that told her this was it.

No one spoke for an awkward amount of time, letting Ash actually wrap her head around what has just happened.

She was a child of prophecy. A token of fate. A pawn on a chessboard. And she wasn't sure if she liked it.

When the spark of light is set ablaze
The child of summer finds her way

Another hero, reborn again
Achilles and Perseus walk the world condemned

When Patroclus is at his very end
When summer finds it's way too deep
The wilder of the sun shall fall in as well

Through a love that is written in the stars
A hero to rise or fall in the final hour.

Erie as the prophecy was, Ash was grateful that she was told about it before it actually happened.

She was kindly brought back to the present from her thoughts when Percy decided to say something rather intelligent " Umm...okay."

She fought the urge to roll her eyes at his stupidity.

The satyr on the other hand, had fallen on his knees hastily on the snow and started yammering "Thank you, Lady Artemis, you're so... you're so... Wow!"

"Get up,goat boy!" Thalia snapped "We have better things to worry about, Annabeth if gone!"

"Whoa," the olive-skinned demigod said "
Hold up, time out."

Everyone looked at her, expectantly. She pointed a finger at all of them, as if trying to connect the dots.
"Who...who are you people?"

Artemis' gaze softened "A better question to ask, my dear girl, is who are you! Who are your parents?"

The girl glanced nervously at the little boy next to her, her brother it seems, who was looking up in awe at the goddess.

"Our parents are dead," the girl said "There is a bank trust that pays for our school, but..."

She faltered, Ash thought that the girl seemed to realise no one believed her story.
"What, I'm telling the truth!"

Ash stepped forwards, towards her.
She looked at the girl with a hint of pity in her brown eyes.

"You're a half-blood." She said gently as if speaking any louder would break the girl."One of your parents is mortal, and the other...is an Olympian."

"An Olympian... athlete?"

"No," Zoë said "one of the gods."

"Cool!" The little boy said excitedly, Ash smiled at him and knelt down and ruffled his messy dark brown hair.
The boy was the representation of innocence, childhood memories of late night drives and playground swings.

"No, this is not cool!" His sister's voice trembled as she looked at the others with distaste.

The boy payed no heed to his sister and danced around,
"Does Zeus really have lightning bolts that do six hundred damage? Does he get extra movement points for-"

His brown eyes looked at her with wonder and the older girl felt her heart break slightly when his sister said
"Nico, shut up!" She put her hands to her face "this is not your stupid Mythomagic game! There are no gods!"
