Mao's kelly green eyes peered past the wall by the front entrance of Trickstudio, his glance casting a facade of blandness as he watched the rest of Trickstar chatter and laugh together. His right hand gripped onto the corner of the brick wall tightly, finger nails digging slightly into the cracks.

His heart burned with desire and pleas to join them. But he knew he couldn't. Once again, Mao Isara was cast out of the group, and it was all because of one thing he highly blamed for it. Soulmates.

When Mao was younger, he loved the concept of soulmates. Having a person or few to love in any shape or form for as long as possible? Mao was fascinated by love. He adored love like no other. Yet, since the reveal the previous weekend that the rest of Trickstar shown to Mao that all three of them were romantic soulmates together... Mao's dreams shattered like a mirror that wasn't being used any longer.

It was always Mao, was it not? The world hated him to its core, and he knew it. Mao liked the idea of love. But the world loves to rain negativity upon Mao at every chance given. Mao Isara was not allowed to love at all.

Mao brings one hand close to his chest, above his beating heart. The pain still burned, he can feel it bubbling and cracking the longer he glanced over at the rest of his unit mates. He then turns around, back against the wall, as he slides himself down the wall. A faint, quiet hiss comes from between the small gap of his lips.

Tears dared to fall like a heavy storm clashing with a large river as he reels his knees up against his chest. The echoes of the rest of Trickstar still haunting his mind. Their sickly sweet love talk to one another, the constant laughter and jokes, the ordinary chatter.

He hides his face in his knees, hands cupping his ears as a small hiccup escapes from him.

One drop of a tear falls.

Mao Isara felt sick.
