The dark abyss of the night fell quicker than Mao thought. Coldness swept across the barren campus grounds - a sight he was used to seeing every time once he was finished with any productivity; council work or other.

The only warmth that kept him comforted was of his jacket he wore, although the warmth of the fabric was thinner than usual due to the strings of fraying that was caused on every edge and line possible.

The nights abyss was empty of clouds. Stars shone with the moons light taking all the glory with the pride it held for all.

A few warm-tone coloured leaves blow in the wind, dancing magnificently like a power duo, going from one side of the tree line that patterned the sides of the pavement of the stone grounds to the other and grouping with a large collection of other various leaves.

The silence of no person around kept his thoughts busy, letting his imagination wander into the wilderness of the dark as he followed the pathway back to the dormitory.

Sudden hands wrapped itself around his figure, causing Mao to halt to a feared stop. He tries to turn around to see who it is, but he can't. Their grip wasn't gentle at all - it was strong and fearful.

Mao tugs in the person's grip, writhing and moving his body to get away if he can. He struggled for a moment, sliding his arms out of his jacket, and without looking back this time, he took into a run, letting the cold wind push him forward.

The unknown person catches up to him quickly two minutes afterwards and grabs him once again.

"Hey-!" His voice becomes muffled from the person then clamping their hand atop of his mouth. Mao's figure then gets forcefully turned and slammed - the back of his body first - into the concrete ground, causing a loud groan to emit from the bottom of his throat.

The person looms above him, kneeling over his figure, the person seemed to be wearing a full face covering so he couldn't identify who they were - well, the only thing he could tell was that they were extremely tall, one of the tallest people he's probably come across so far in life.

The unknown person leaned towards Mao, one clenched fist raised in the air.

Mao's breath hitched.

...

Yuzuru barely took time for himself, mostly spending time with Tori and a few rare others, but this evening, he needed some time alone. It felt awkward without Tori by his side - especially after the argument he had with the mentioned boy.

Yuzuru was extremely upset during his argument with the other boy to the point that once he left the dormitory to get away from Tori, he didn't remember in bringing a coat or gloves and a scarf with him.

The air was extremely cold as he blew some warm air into his hands and rubbed them together, ths condensation leaving between his lips with every other breath mixed with the autumn air.

Some of the bulbs in the lampposts flickered, wavering in and out with their shortening lives as he followed the pathway around the campus.

Yuzuru stops walking for a minute, feeling tired for just a moment with walking around for a bit already and seeing if there was a bench or a half-wall he could set on to let his legs regain the balance he needed again, but as he looked, his eyes widened as he then all forgot about the pain shooting up his legs and ran forwards - a figure was lying flat against the ground.

"Master Isara!" He then suddenly recognises as he skids to a stop and kneels down next to Mao's figure. Yuzuru inspects Mao, checking for any injuries. There was only a bruise and a couple grazes around his fair face after turning Mao's head around.

Yuzuru then places a hand against Mao's shoulder and gently nudges him a couple of times, calling out to him - there was no answer from the other, but luckily, Mao Isara was still alive and as well as he could be with some wounds masking his face.

Yuzuru then situated himself as he grabbed a hold of the smaller teenager, sliding him onto his back causing Yuzuru to stumble for a second, hissing in pain as he situates Mao a couple of times more and twists himself around to head back to the dorms whilst making sure to dodge any cracks and dents of the pavement.

A couple of moments go by, and Yuzuru stops in front of the dormitory, realising that he had no way of getting the doors open whilst still holding Mao tight on his back.

He takes in a deep breath and calls as loud as possible once he sees that some peoples dorm windows from the front were open.

Yuzuru waits for a moment, looking over his shoulder at the younger male every couple of seconds as he hopes somebody or a few do come out.

Three minutes go by, and with a breath of relief, the doors open, and Yuzuru shuffles forward when seeing two members of the Ra*bits unit appear - Mitsuru and Nazuna.

The two members looked alarmed and began talking over one another as Yuzuru asked for them to let him in, which they did, as Yuzuru led towards the front room area and placed Mao on one of the settees gently. Without thought, Yuzuru demands the two Ra*bits members some orders as they follow his commands.

In doing so, Yuzuru looked over Mao again, and during the moment of silence, a person familiar to him walked into the area. "What's going on here - what happened to Isara?" Eichi asks.

"I'm unsure. I found him like this when I was on a walk, I've already looked over him, and there doesn't seem to be anything major, thankfully. So no hospital visit is needed."

Eichi only replies with a nod as he takes a seat on the empty settee with a frown and in thought of many possibilities that could have happened.

Mitsuru and Nazuna eventually come running into the front room area holding a damp flannel and a few other pieces needed in their holds, "this is the best I could do - is Isara going to be okay?" Mitsuru asks Yuzuru as he silently thanks the two members, explaining to them about Mao's situation as he did with Eichi.

Mitsuru and Nazuna eventually leave in politeness, saying a quick goodnight to Eichi, too.

A couple extra minutes go by.

"It's best if we let Master Isara rest for the night now, and depending on how he feels by the time he wakes up, we'll have to ask what happened."

Eichi nods, "I'll contact Keito in a minute, we can check the camera footage from both around Yumenosaki and the grounds here for any evidence to see as well."

"Right." Yuzuru hums.

...

Mao groaned as a headache formed whilst he walked towards the student council office, a clipboard filled with different papers in his hold.

Just this morning, he woken up to Yuzuru and Eichi by his side in the front room area scolding him for being nearby the school so late into the evening but then also asking questions about his injuries, he could only tell the duo a few things he remembered, some of the other parts were blurred together.

Mao comes to a stop in front of the council offices door. His hand reaches for the handle as he pulls it open - it was odd on the inside, it was silent.

He steps into the room, letting the door close over on itself as he was ready to greet everybody else who was a part of the student council, his hand ready to wave towards Tori in a stop of mid-motion.

What he didn't expect was a bloodbath - a massacre of the now dead bodies of the few he once knew.

"We meet again... let's retry last night's game, shall we? Mao Isara."
