Chen's pov:

"Have you seen Tyla's met gala look?" Lola asks me. "Of course I have, I'm her number one fan." I roll my eyes. "Wait- Can't you like be friends with her?" She raises her eyebrows in amusement. "Yeah, I can. We're mutuals, so that's a starter." I say, getting my legs off of my desk. "Then why aren't you friends with her, the fuck?!" Lola snaps. "I'm actually thinking about it."
"Anyways, what do I have today?" I ask her, changing the topic before she forces me to DM the girl.

Daddy is the CEO of windows now since grandpa passed away last year, I'm grateful he met Ocean before leaving though. They bonded so well in such a short time. So he made me the Co-CEO of Windows and I made Lola my personal assistant. I'm a real one.

"You have a shoot at 2 P.M. and Julian is coming over tonight. That's pretty much it." She twirls her hair as she ran over my schedule. I'm also a model sometimes.

"Ugh, it's finally my vacation time, I don't get to see your boring ass every day for 3 months." She throws herself on the armchair in my office. "You need to watch that mouth of yours before you get fired, babes." I roll my eyes playfully. "Oh wow, so you gone fire me now?!" She gets up. "Have you seen your ungracious behavior?" I reply and we laugh.

"Gotta go pick Ocean up from school. Wanna tag along since you're on break?" I stand up. "Fuck, yeah." She says enthusiastically, making me chuckle and shake my head as I walked to the door.

At school...
I park right in front of the gates. I see Ocean talking to a girl. "You think that's her girlfriend?" I asked while I watched them. "Or maybe it's her new friend. Stop assuming everyone's gay." Lola says. "Don't even try, she looks gay as fuck. My gaydar is going WEE-WOO WEE-WOO right now. That's my daughter and I'm her mom, therefore, I always know and I'm always right."

I lightly honk, making Ocean notice us. She pecks the girl on the lips quickly, then waves goodbye to her as she runs to the car. Lola's jaw dropped and I looked at her with a knowing smirk, silently telling her "I told you so."

"Hey, mommy! Hi, auntie Lola!" She gets in the car and throws her bag next to her on the backseat, then leans forward and gives Lola a hug before me. "Bitch, HEYYYY?! You need to spill, but wait let me facetime daddy real quick." I say as she hugs me. She and Lola laugh at me, looking at me like I'm crazy. Andrew picked up after a couple of rings.

"Hey, baby. What's up?"
"Bae, your daughter kiss a girl goodbye."
"WHAT?!"
"In front of us too."
"OCEAN, YOU'RE DATING?!"
"Yeah, and that was my girlfriend, Sofia."
"Pardon me?!"
I turn around and put the tesla on auto-driver.
"I'm proud of you, princess."
"I didn't even know you were in the club with us."
Andrew chuckled.
"Doesn't everybody like girls? I mean what's not to like-"
"Woah woah, we're your parents!"
I started laughing so hard.
"You and mommy always flirt in front of me and I'm not dumb, I won't say something outta pocket in front of y'all. I got that rizz in me for real."
She shrugged, looking out of the window.
"Oh my god, I can't with her ass."
I panged the phone back to me and started driving.
"Ms. Ocean, we're gonna talk about this when I get back home."
"You guys should really stop flirting in front of Ocean."
Lola says out of breath with tears in her eyes from laughing so hard.
"Literally everything else can help me up my game, but yeah, I agree. It's gross."
"Okay, bye, baby. I love you."
"I love you more."
I ended the call.

"Alright, you need to spill everything." Lola says, getting her office siren glasses on. "Sofia Blue. Born in Canada. She just moved here like a week ago. And she's an only child like me. She's one year older though. OH, and she's in the varsity volleyball team."

"What do her parents do for a living?" I asked intrigued. I need to make sure my daughter meets her need with being high maintenance without lowering her standards because of her feelings. Get you someone who can afford the same bag. "Her mom is Emily Ratajkowski. Her father is David Gandy." Ocean paused then continued,
"Can she come over later today? You can also meet her." Ocean pleads with her eyes. "I mean, Y-Yeah sure. ¿Qué estás hanciendo?" I asked out of curiosity. I'm nervous 'cause I didn't give her the sex talk, yet, and I really want her to stay safe. (What are y'all doing?)

"Soló pasando el rato. Can I connect to car play?" Ocean asks. (Just hanging out.)
"Yeah, of course." I connected her phone. after a couple of seconds she played a song.

I huffed loudly and closed my eyes as I heard Billie's voice. She was playing Chihiro. I blinked a couple of times, trying to focus on the road, but her voice only made me sick to my stomach and twisted knots in my gut. It was distracting me and started alarming Lola. I put my car on auto-drive and laid my head on the steering wheel to try and regain control. Lola turned the music off, understanding what was going on.

"Can I fucking catch a break from her?" I shook my head. "Who? Billie?" Ocean asks and I sighed, looking at Lola, my eyes pleaded for her to save me from explaining the situation to Ocean. "If you hated her music that much you could've just told me. Because you're doing too much over a song." Ocean said, annoyed.

I felt my stomach turn again as I thought about confronting her, hearing my daughter say my ex's name, and so casually too, hurts like a bitch. I stopped the car on the side of the road and I got out of it, trying to take a breath. But instead, I threw up as I got signs of vertigo. I think it's a trauma response at this point.

"Mommy! Are you okay?!" Ocean leaned to the front seats, her voice laced with worry and care. I nodded my head, got back in the car, and wiped my mouth with a tissue. I took a deep breath and hit my head back against the headrest. I sipped some water from my Stanley and put it back down in the cupholder.

Lola patted my shoulder and squeezed it, flashing me a pitiful smile. "Let me drive." Lola said. I nodded and got back out of the car, being careful not to step on my own puke. I got back in the passenger seat as Lola buckled up and started driving. As I put my seatbelt on I turned around and looked back at Ocean. "Which song is your favorite?" I asked sadly, my eyes told a story Ocean didn't know about. "Hostage, but if we're talking about the new album then it's BITTERSUITE. Also, she's performing in the olympics in LA and I really, really wanna go with Sophe. please, mommy? I'll do anything." She begged. I couldn't say no to her.

Fuck, who am I kidding? I couldn't say no to seeing her... I wanted - No, I needed to.

"Hm, you got taste. Hostage used to be my favorite too." I fight back tears and look away. "¿Qué tienes, mommy?" Ocean asks me. "Nothing, love." I say dismissively. "You literally threw up, and almost cried. Tell me. You're doing too much for not liking an artist... it's more than that, isn't it?" She comes closer.

I stayed quiet and she turned to Lola, "What's up with her?" She asked, pointing at me with her thumb as she leaned on the front seats with her elbows. Lola looked at me and bit her lip nervously.

"I can't speak for her, honey." Lola said softly. Ocean groaned and looked back at me. "Mommy, please talk to me!" She huffed. "Not right now... I'm not ready to talk about it, yet." I closed my eyes as tears fell down my cheeks.
