bil's pov:

"I'm so nervous, mom. I don't know how to bring it up." I run my fingers through my hair frustrated. "Well, you just don't. Set your boundaries straight and force her to respect them, because she's not leaving him and she's getting married anyway, Billie. You really shouldn't try and go for her." My mom explains as she gives me her undevided attention.

"She's the one going for me! But whenever I make a move or even hint that I want her, she just plays dumb and innocent." I sighed. "Since it's bothering you so much, then put an end to it, Bil. You're a big girl now." My mom smiled at me, making me crack a small sad smile.

"I'm just overthinking this, right? I should just talk to her... or ghost her because I'm busy." I say. "No, Billie. Communication is key, especially if you wanna keep her in your life."
"But I am busy, I'm just making time for her." I raise an eyebrow, shrugging. That could be a great excuse, but it's just another form to escape my problems.

My mom sighed and put a hand on my shoulder. "Look, darling. I know confronting her is hard... but you have to; to show your growth, to show how much you've matured. Do it for you. I'll support you no matter what decision you make and if you mess up I'll still stand by you and be here for you."

I looked down at my lap and nodded. I let out a little, "Thanks, mom..."

She's right, but I don't wanna accept that she's getting married. She should be getting married to me! She's mine! She should be happy with me and only me! She's mine! I'm way better then that fucker and I'll provide anything she wants.

I entered Chanel and I's chat and my fingers hovered over the keyboard for a moment hesitantly. Should I even be doing this? Fuck it;

i need to see you.

After that I closed my phone and stared at the ceiling, playing with my rings. I felt my phone buzz after a couple of minutes;

Is everything okay?

I immediately texted back;

no, i need to talk to you about something important
can you come over later?

I'd gotten back home in the afternoon and was watching survivor on my TV while waiting for any updates from Chen. She didn't text yet. I feel so dumb and desperate for doing this shit. I should just go on with my life.

omniscient pov:

Chanel walked up to billie's house and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. The sound of her knuckles against the wood echoed in her ears as she waited nervously for billie to answer. She heard footsteps approaching, and a moment later the door creaked open. Standing there was her ex girlfriend, billie.

"Hey, come in," billie said, stepping aside to let Chanel inside. Chanel hesitated for a moment before stepping over the threshold. The familiar scent of billie's perfume hit her nostrils, and memories of their past flooded her mind. They made their way to the living room, and billie gestured for Chanel to take a seat on the couch. "Can I get you something to drink?" she asked, her voice soft. "Water would be great," Chanel replied, her mouth suddenly feeling dry.

She watched as billie moved to the kitchen, her mind racing with thoughts and emotions. She had been dreading this moment for weeks, but now that it was here, she couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and worry. Soon, billie returned with a glass of water and handed it to Chanel before taking a seat across from her. There was an awkward silence for a moment before billie spoke up.
"Thanks for coming over," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

Chanel took a sip of her water, her heart pounding in her chest. She had a feeling she knew what was coming. "What's up?" she asked, feigning nonchalance. Billie took a deep breath before speaking. "Chanel, I know we've already talked about this," she began, her voice shaky. "But I can't stop thinking about us. About what we had, and what we could still have."

Chanel felt her heart skip a beat at billie's words. She knew exactly what she meant, and the truth was, she had been feeling the same way. But she couldn't give in. She had a fiancé, and her wedding was only two months away. "Billie, we can't do this," Chanel said, her voice firmer now. "I'm engaged. I'm getting married. We can't keep rehashing the past like this."

Billie's face fell at Chanel's words. "But don't you feel it too?" she asked, her voice pleading. "That connection we have, that spark that's still there between us? I know you feel it." Billie's voice became more desperate and pleading. She scooted a bit closer to Chen. Chanel looked down at her hands, avoiding billie's gaze. "I do feel it," she admitted quietly. "But we can't act on it. I have a fiancé, and a wedding planned. I can't just throw all of that away."

"But what about what you want?" she asked. "What about us? Do you really think you'll be happy with him, when you still have feelings for me?" Billie leaned forward, looking directly at Chanel. Chanel felt a pang in her heart at billie's words. She knew she was right, that her feelings for billie still burned deep inside her. But she also knew that she had made a commitment to her fiancé, and she couldn't just abandon that commitment.

"It's not that simple," Chanel said, taking a deep breath. "I made a promise to my fiancé. We're supposed to get married in two months. I can't just break that off and be with you."
Billie's expression hardened as Chanel spoke. "You made a promise to him," she repeated bitterly. "But what about the promises you made to me, huh? The promises of forever, and love, and happiness?"

Chanel felt a pang of guilt at billie's words. She remembered the promises they had made to each other, the declarations of love and commitment. But she also remembered the pain and disappointment she had felt when billie had left her at her lowest point, when she had needed her the most. "You left me," Chanel said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. "When I was at my lowest point, when I needed you the most, you left me. You made promises too, and you broke them."
