bil's pov:
I can see her giving in, and I'm not giving up. I hold her hands and smile. "Look, I know you feel the same way I do. He's not the one for you, I am." I said confidently. "How do you know?" She asked, a hint of challenge in her tone. She's trying so hard to put up an act, she doesn't wanna show me that she's not even convinced by what's coming out of her mouth.
I scoffed a laugh, "The way you couldn't stop yourself from kissing back. The way you get nervous and scared whenever I get closer to you... You know you can't help it. You know you wanna leave him for me. You know where and who you belong to. You're my bunny."
"I'd so tell you to fuck me right now, but no. I'm not letting you get your way this time. Today is about me. The wedding is happening, Bil. you're free to go if you don't wanna attend." She said, trying to force a confident, stern tone. I can see how shaken up she is underneath that mask.
"Take your mask off, baby, it's just me and you. Don't be scared." I pulled her closer and rested my hands on her hips. "How do you expect me not to be scared?" She asked calmly, looking into my eyes. There we go, now the mask is off, that's what I'm talking about.
"Trust me again. One last time." I say. She closes her eyes and shakes her head. "I'm sorry, Billie. I'm still gonna choose him. I can't just change my mind because of a kiss." She pulled away from me.
You know what? She'll come around. I'll just leave her now.
"Fine." I say and put my hands behind my back. "Be that way." I say, walking to the door. "Goodbye, Bunny." She said, making me stop in my tracks and look back at her. I quietly walked out of the room, looking down at my feet as I walked out of the venue. The bridesmaids all stood in the hallway, waiting for us to come out.
Julian followed me, "Hey, Billie," She whispered after the rest of the girls went back inside the room. It was just me and Julian out in the hallway now. "What's up?" I look back at her. "I know you tried to convince her to leave him multiple times, she's just scared, but... her time will come. Don't give up on your girl."
I smiled at her and nodded, "Thanks, I needed to hear that," I said, feeling relieved and giddy after the new information that her close friend added. "I guess I'll see you around then," I chuckled and she gave me a smile, walking into the room where Chanel was in.
I walked out and got into my car sighing and deciding to focus on myself more in these few upcoming months just so I wouldn't be thinking about her.
A month later...
I got a call from a random number in the middle of the night. I was unable to sleep anyway, so I decided to pick up. "Hello?"
"Hey, Bils," Chanel slurred. I took the phone off of my ear to check the number again. "Where are you? Why are you calling me from a random number?" I asked, confused. "Funny story, I'm in jail because of DUI. Come get me please?"
"You're in where because of what?!" I yelled. "I'm in-" "Yeah, I heard you the first time! Fucking Christ, Chen..." I groaned, grabbing a coat and my keys. "Sorry," She mumbled drunkingly. "Which station?" I asked, annoyed and agitated.
