Billie's features softened slightly at Chanel's words. She knew she had hurt Chanel deeply, and she regretted it more than anything. "I know I messed up," she said, her voice filled with remorse. "I left when I should have stayed, and I broke your heart. I can't take that back, and I'll always regret it."
Chanel looked at billie, seeing the sincerity in her eyes. She could see how much she regretted what she had done, and it made her waver in her resolve.
Billie doesn't know what happened... This wasn't what she rehearsed. She was trying to set boundaries between them, but all she could see now is how she's desperately trying to get her ex back, but she didn't stop herself. She couldn't. She needed to let the truth out.
"I wish I could turn back time. I wish I could go back to that moment and stay, and be there for you like I should have been." billie said, her voice cracking. Chanel felt a lump form in her throat. She wanted to forgive billie, to let go of the hurt and pain, but it was hard. "I wish you had stayed too, but you didn't. And I was the one left to pick up the pieces." she said quietly.
Billie looked down at her hands with shame. "You're right..." She spoke sadly. Chanel looked at billie, feeling torn. She had forgiven her for leaving, but she was still struggling with her feelings for her ex. "I've forgiven you, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still with my fiancé, and I'm still getting married in two months." She said reassuringly after a moment of heavy silence between them.
"I know. And I know this is hard for you. Part of me feels guilty even talking to you like this, but I can't stop thinking about us and what we had. I can't shake the feeling that we're meant to be together, even after all this time." billie said, her voice laced with regret. Chanel felt her resolve wavering again. A part of her wanted to give in to her feelings for billie, to forget her fiancé and just be with her again. But another, louder part of her kept reminding her of her commitment to her fiancé, and the life they were supposed to build together.
"Billie, I can't just throw away my engagement and the life I've built. I have a fiancé who I love and who loves me. I have a wedding planned, and a future we've planned together. I can't just throw all of that away for a relationship that ended years ago." Chanel said, her voice filled with emotion. Billie's voice trembled as she spoke. "Please, Chanel, please, take me back. I know I messed up, and I know I hurt you, but I can't stand the thought of you being with someone else. I love you, and I always will." She said, a tone of desperation in her voice.
Chanel thought about her fiancé, and the life they had planned together. She also thought about the daughter they had just adopted a couple of months ago. If she broke off her engagement and got back together with billie, it would not only hurt her fiancé but also disrupt her daughter's life.
"I have a daughter now," she said, her voice soft. "I just adopted a daughter with my fiancé a couple of months ago. If I break off my engagement and get back together with you, it would tear her life apart. She deserves stability and a loving family."
Billie's eyes widened at the mention of Chanel's adopted daughter. "I'll take her as my own," she said without missing a beat. "If you take me back, I'll treat that little girl like my own. I promise to love and care for her just as much as I love and care for you."
Chanel was taken aback at billie's words. She hadn't expected her to offer to take on the responsibility of raising her daughter so quickly. But at the same time, it was a huge gesture, and it showed how much billie was willing to do to win her back.
She thought about it for a moment, trying to ignore the flutter of excitement in her chest. She couldn't deny that the proposal was tempting, but she also couldn't ignore the fact that it would be a huge change for her and her daughter. Chanel took a deep breath and looked at billie with concern. "Are you sure you're ready for that kind of responsibility? Being a pop star, you're always busy with tours, and shows, and recordings. Raising a child requires commitment and time. How will you balance your career and being a parent to my daughter?" She asked.
Billie's eyes shone with hope as Chanel posed her question. She knew that Chanel was worried about her ability to balance her career with being a parent, and she was determined to prove that she could do it. "I'll make it work. I'll find a way to balance my career and being a parent. I promise, I'll support your daughter and be there for her, no matter what." she said firmly. Chanel took a deep breath and nodded, trying to stay calm. "Ocean should be the one to choose. It's only fair that she gets a say in who her parents are. It's not just about what we want. It's about what's best for her."
Billie nodded, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. "You're right. We can't just decide for her. She deserves a say in this." She said, her voice soft. Billie looked at Chanel for a moment before speaking. "Can you promise me something? No matter what you decide, can you promise to talk to Ocean and consider my offer?" She asked, her voice pleading.
Chanel felt a pang of guilt at the thought of bringing her daughter into this situation. She didn't want to involve her child in her affair, and the very idea of it made her uncomfortable. "I...I don't know if I can promise that," she said, her voice faltering. "This is a complicated and messy situation," she continued. "And I don't want to drag Ocean into it. I don't want to put that kind of pressure on her to choose between two people she loves."
Billie looked disappointed at Chanel's response, but she tried to keep calm. "I know it's complicated, but don't you think she deserves a say in who her parents are? Don't you think she deserves to have both of us in her life?" She said. Chanel sighed, feeling torn. Part of her knew that Billie had a point, that Ocean deserved to have both of them in her life if possible. But another part of her was terrified of the idea of involving her daughter in this messy affair. "I don't know what to do," she admitted, tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't want to hurt anyone, but I don't know how to make this work without hurting someone."
Billie saw the tears in Chanel's eyes and felt a pang in her heart. Without thinking, she moved closer and wrapped her arms around Chanel, pulling her into a tight embrace. "It's gonna be okay. We'll figure it out, I promise." She whispered, her voice soothing.
Chanel felt a wave of comfort wash over her at the feeling of billie's arms around her. She buried her face in billie's shoulder, letting out a small sob as she let herself be consoled. "I just don't know what to do. I don't want to hurt my fiancé, and I don't want to hurt you, and I don't want to hurt Ocean. How do I make this work without someone getting hurt?" She said, her voice muffled against billie's shoulder. Billie held Chanel tight, stroking her hair gently. "I don't have all the answers," she said, her voice soft. "But I do know that we need to talk about this, and figure out a solution that works for everyone involved."
Billie pulled back slightly so she could look into Chanel's teary eyes. "And you can't forget about yourself," she said, her voice gentle. "You can't hurt yourself in the process of trying to make everyone else happy."
