bil's pov:

When I got there I bailed her out and waited for her to come out. She came out dressed in, surprisingly, casual clothes. She wasn't partying?
She hugged me and sighed, "Billieeee..." She said softly. I reluctantly hugged her back and patted her back, "C'mon get your stuff and let's go."

After getting in the car I sighed, "Where were you before this?" I asked worriedly. "Daddy's golf club, then the liquor store." She says, turning her phone completely off. I looked down at her phone then looked at the road. Did they have a fight?

"How are you?" She asks. "I'm... I'm good." I was caught off guard by her question. She just stared at my side profile. "Bils, can I sleep over?" She asks. I look at her and furrow my eyebrows. "W-why?"
"I just... don't wanna go back home." She sighs and looks down at her lap, playing with her fingers nervously.

"What happened?" My tone softened. "I just don't feel good. It feels like I've made a mistake." She rubs her forehead. "Do you regret calling me for help?" I reluctantly ask, looking away to brace myself for the answer. "No, dumbass- not that." She sighs.

I consider her sleeping over for a bit. "It's okay if you don't want me sleeping over, just drop me at a hotel or something." She looks out the window. I realized that this whole time, she hadn't looked me in my eyes. "Chen, look at me." I turn to look at her as we stop at a red light. She turned to look at me and my heart breaks. She looks so drained.

"Are you okay? Tell me what happened." I go to grab her hand, but then stop. She reaches out for my hand and holds it. Its like she read my mind. "I just...- I hate sounding corny, but you're the only person I find myself seeking comfort from," she says. "I-I'm really happy to hear that, but, Chen, seriously, what happened?"

"I don't know why I married him, Bil." She gets teary eyed. I pouted and squeezed her hand, the light turns green and I start to drive to my house. "I thought you loved him. What did he do?" I ask calmly. I'm really proud that I'm calm talking about him.

"He's just... not the same. After the wedding he was okay, until he started throwing tantrums and his temper was always high. He starts making everything about himself and basically just- acting like a kid," She sighed, "I tried talking to him about it, but he made it sound like it was my fault. The honeymoon was ass because of that. I just need a break from him."

"What a fucking dick." I scoffed, parking in front of my house. Chen and I got out of the car and I walked into my house. Shark and, my new dog, Brutus came running to me. They greeted me then gently, as trained, greeted Chen.

"I'll bring you something comfortable to sleep in, you can take the guest's bedroom." I say, pointing towards it. "Thank you for taking me in, I genuinely... don't know what I'd do without you," She smiled. I smiled back and hugged her, "Anything for you."

She hugged me and I felt her relax in my arms. "Just keep holding me, please." She mumbles. "Okay." I whisper, smiling.
Am I getting my hopes up again or does this mean something?
After a couple of minutes she pulls away and smiles at her shoes shyly. "Ima go get ready for bed." She says, walking towards the guest room. "Okay, I'll get you something to wear."

She was done wiping her makeup and She's gotten ready for bed. I was sitting in the living room, still sleepless, and watching survivor while cuddled up with the dogs. After the episode finished, I turned the TV off and stood up to go to my bedroom.

The guest's bedroom door opens and she walks out of the room. "You okay?" I asked, looking over at her. She nods and walks to the kitchen. I decide to follow her. "I can't sleep," she says, filling a cup with water from my smart fridge. She drank the water and then put the cup in the sink.

"Did you talk to your husband, daughter, friends, anyone?" I asked. She shook her head, leaning over the counter. "Why were you drunk?" I asked the real question. "I wanted to forget that... I'd chosen him over you," she scoffed, "Again, I know it sounds... corny, but it's true. I'm questioning everything..." She shakes her head.

I stare at her with wide eyes, blushing. SHE'S FINALLY CHOOSING ME! "Can I sit in your bedroom for a bit until I start feeling sleepy?" She asks. I smirked and chuckled, "You know damn well you'll wake up in my arms, Chen."
"Okay, fine. Can we cuddle then?" She rolls her eyes, smiling. "Yeah."

We got in bed and I big spooned her. "Isn't this considered cheating?" I spoke softly, giggling. "I couldn't care less right now," she giggles and presses her body closer to mine. "I've missed you," she whispers. "I've missed you too," I whisper back.

"Chen?" I called. "Hm?" "Why'd you call me?" I asked. "Because I love you," she says, making my heart drop to my ass. "What do you mean?" I gulped, asking shakily. "I love you, Billie. That's what I meant. And I'm not that drunk, I'm kinda sober now, actually," She says and I stay silent, trying to process everything.

"You feel so right and natural to me, I don't know why I'd choose anyone else over you. I was trying to serve myself, I guess? But I think I misunderstood what I needed. All I needed and wanted was you all along," she wraps her arms around mine.

"Is this real?" I ask. "Yeah," she says, a hint of a smile in her voice. "I love you too..." I say, kissing her shoulder.
