SPIRIT week was around the corner for Smallville High School. And of course, everyone was ecstatic for it. Everyone had been in the school spirit, trying to amp up for the big rally in the Talon's theater.
Lana had been decorating some posters by the bleachers near the school's swimming pool and Paige had dried off from being in the pool and opted for sticking her feet in the pool as she chatted with Lana by the bleachers.
They watched the races going down, cheering for Clark as he made it towards the finish line from beating Pete.
"He's a hottie, isn't he? Look at him." Chrissy Parker, cheerleader at Smallville High, commented, talking about Clark and Paige turned around to that comment with an amused look on her face.
"Who, Clark?" Lana asked. Chrissy laughs, "Oh, come on, Lana." Lana scoffs in a chuckle. "Chrissy, Clark and I are just friends. Besides, if anyone has more of a chance, it's probably Paige."
Paige looks at her friend in disbelief. "Nuh-uh! Now, me and him are just friends. Nothing more than that." Lana narrows her eyes at Paige. "Right." She then nudged her head towards the pool. "You know, I never knew you could swim." Paige shrugs in response, "Yeah, it's kind of a gift. I've been swimming since I was little. Clark, on the other hand, boy's a pro." She tells, trying to hype her friend up to Lana since he liked her.
Lana chuckles and is finishing up her sign. "So, Paige, I need an outsider's perspective. What do you think?" She asks, pointing towards her sign. Paige looks over at the sign that reads: Spirit Week 2002, GO CROWS! Paige shrugs, "It looks nice."
Chrissy nods in response. "Awesome. I'm gonna ask the new principal if we can hang it in the middle of the cafeteria." Lana nods and looks over at the cheerleader. "You have really thrown yourself into Spirit Week, Chrissy. I am impressed."
"Well, these are the best times of our lives. Isn't that what they say?" Chrissy asks and Lana nods, "To be honest, I had forgotten how much fun this can be. I'm really looking forward to it."
Lana then looks over at Paige. "Have you ever had a spirit week at Grandville High before you made the move here, Paige?" She asks. "Oh, yeah. But we did not make as near a big of a deal like we do it here. I'm also kinda looking forward to it." Paige stated. "That's the spirit!" Chrissy smiled towards the girl.
