"Why are we going back to the capital?"

Shen Ruofeng looked at Shen Xingzhou in confusion. They had just returned from the capital, and he didn't understand why his nephew wanted to go back so soon.

Shen Xingzhou turned his head to look at him and smiled, "Uncle, I need to bring back my mother's dowry. Also, Grandpa left me quite a few valuable things. If I don't take them back, should I just let that woman have them?"

Previously, due to health reasons, they had returned too hastily and many things were left undone. He had originally planned to return to Lin City, write some letters, and make arrangements for his subordinates. But now, since there's a different plan, everything must be done quickly.

Hearing this, Shen Ruofeng sighed. He knew that within the entire Qi family, the person his nephew was most attached to was the old master of the Qi family. He was the only one who treated his nephew well since he was a child. Unfortunately, the last person in the Qi family who was good to him was also gone.

Looking intently at Shen Xingzhou, he asked, "Are you sure about this?"

Shen Xingzhou nodded, "Uncle, don't worry. Xiaoxiao said the antidote could be ready in a week. I'll go back to the capital to make some arrangements and then come back here to get the antidote. Once the poison is neutralized, I'll head to Lin City to find you."

"Alright then. The Shen family still has some connections in the capital. I'll let you know about them, but you must take care of your own safety. Those things are all external possessions. Besides, our Shen family has plenty of those, and they will all be yours in the future. So, your safety is the most important."

"Uncle, I understand."

Shen Ruofeng patted him on the shoulder as they walked out. "Alright, let's go and thank Xiaoxiao again."

When they approached Fu Xiao, they expressed their gratitude once more.

After leaving the restaurant, the two Shen family members checked out of the guesthouse and headed straight for the train station.

Fu Weilin saw them off, and the three siblings rode his bicycle back to the village.

The three of them arrived home around three in the afternoon. When they saw them, Grandpa Fu, who was sunbathing in the front yard, smiled and asked, "What were you siblings doing in the county town?"

Fu Xiao sat down next to him, "Grandpa, we watched a movie yesterday."

"Oh?" Grandpa Fu squinted his eyes, reclining leisurely on a rocking chair as he asked, "What else did you do?"

Fu Hong quickly chimed in, "We even saved a person. Grandpa, you don't know, but as soon as my sister took his pulse, she knew the guy was poisoned. She's amazing!"

Fu Xiao didn't want to mention seeing the Shen family in the county town because it was an unpleasant past and she didn't want Grandpa to overthink it. But who knew her second brother would be so quick to speak.

Grandpa Fu opened his eyes and looked at him, "Poisoned? Who?"

Fu Xiao hesitated, glancing at Fu Yu, unsure whether to say it or not.

Seeing this, Grandpa Fu squinted his eyes, "What's wrong? You don't want to tell this old man, huh... hmph."

Fu Yu helplessly chuckled, "Grandpa, it's not that we don't want to tell you. It's Shen Xingzhou."

As soon as he heard the surname Shen, he knew what was going on. Grandpa Fu paused for a moment and then slowly said, "Oh, there's no need to hide it from me. I'm not that petty. Besides, it wasn't even Ruoyi's fault back then..."
