Arriving at the doorstep, Tan Lingling said to Fu Weihao, "Don't mention this when we're home. I wonder if the kids are scared."

Fu Weihao nodded, pushed the door open, and noticed that the kids were not in the living room. When he opened the door to the secondary bedroom, he saw them quietly lying on the bed, reading. He said nothing more and turned to leave.

"To the back," Fu Weihao said to Tan Lingling, "They're reading."

Tan Lingling sighed in relief. "As long as they're not scared. I'll go make dinner. You can get back to your work."

With that, she went into the kitchen to start cooking.

Fu Weihao walked into the study, thinking about the mission he would be attending in a couple of days. He took out his fountain pen and began jotting down notes.

The mission was relatively simple, the location was nearby, and it wouldn't take long—about a week to complete.

He pulled out the documents and reviewed them carefully.

Tan Lingling brought lunch to the table and called out, "Lunch is ready..."

Hearing the call, Fu Sui quickly jumped down from the bed, rushed into the kitchen, and said, "I'm starving. Mom, let me help."

He brought the stir-fried dishes and steamed buns to the table and sat down, immediately biting into a bun.

Fu Weihao came out of the study, sat at the table, and looked at him calmly. "During these two days off, stay at home and listen to your mother. I'm going out tomorrow."

"Okay," Fu Sui nodded quickly and then asked with a smile, "Dad, is there a mission?"

Fu Weihao gave him a meaningful glance, and Fu Sui understood right away that it was another confidential mission.

"How long will you be gone this time?"

Fu Weihao picked up his chopsticks and served some vegetables to Tan Lingling, then looked at Fu Sui and said, "About a week."

"Well, that's not too long."

Fu Sui smiled and said, "Dad, stay safe."

Fu Weihao nodded, continued eating quickly but not rudely, a habit developed from his military training.

Soon, he finished eating and stood up to return to the study.

After lunch, Fu Sui turned to Fu Yu and encouraged, "Xiao Yu, I'm going to play basketball with Dog Egg this afternoon. Do you want to join us?"

Fu Yu raised an eyebrow. "I'll pass. I'll stay home and read. You go ahead."

Fu Sui knew he wasn't fond of basketball and didn't push him. He changed into sportswear and went to the basketball court.

When he arrived at the court, several people were already there.

Li Xuefeng, leading the group, was in the center of the crowd, talking animatedly.

Seeing Fu Sui approach, Li Xuefeng walked over with a mischievous grin. "Fu Sui, you finally made it. We've been waiting for you."

Fu Sui raised an eyebrow and looked at him casually. "What's up? Did you gather so many people to play basketball or to fight?"

Li Xuefeng chuckled. "Of course, it's for basketball. Even if it were for a fight, I'd never use numbers to intimidate."

Fu Sui smirked slightly. "Let's get started then."
