Blueberry academy stood out in the sea like a plate on a blue tablecloth, a silvery circle floating calmly amidst the blue waves of the open sea. But its real magic was even deeper within, where a seemingly whole new world awaited them. The entire school floated just by the southern Unovan shores. Typically a ship from Castelia city was taken to get to the academy, but Cyrano had his own personal pilot and plane to handle that.

Flying from Mesagoza airport off and into the landing bay at the edge of the academy's entrance. Having left some time after midnight, the sun had risen and morning was in full swing when the twins finally set foot on the floating steel of the academy. Florian was the first one out, rolling her shoulder before feeling the back of his neck where strands of his once-longer hair used to be. Now he was back to his old much-shorter hairstyle of the standard short cut. Juliana stretched, sleeping in the plane, private as it may have been, still took some getting used to. She took the dachsbun-themed neck-pillow off her neck and put it in her bag as she looked at the gate that stood before her.

The gate itself didn't seem like all that much, but then again, when it takes either ship or plane to get here, perhaps an impressionable gate was no longer needed. Cyrano yawned as he put his hat on his head, "welcome! This here is Blueberry academy, my pride and joy. She's prettier on the inside" he laughed. The gates opened at once, revealing a walkway leading up to the main deck. Cyrano walked forward, cane in his hand. The twins followed him, one on each side.

The rhythmic and serene sound of the waves could be heard as they made their way in, accompanied by the pure and unadulterated scent of the sea breeze. The twins could feel the small nudges of the water upon the structure, yet also felt a sense of safety in its iron sturdiness. Even if the waves were to crash upon the structure, it would not rock and remain as if it were built on solid ground.

"So... why is it named after Blueberries?" Juliana couldn't help but ask.

"Oh? That little thing? Haha! Well, I did come from Naranja academy, after all! I thought it was only fitting I named my academy after food too! Something to stay true to its heritage," Director Cyrano laughed as he explained. "But in addition, there's definitely a bias towards names in education. Parents and even governments aren't keen on assigning prestige to institutions without a name. It's preposterous of course. Schools are schools, just because you slapped the name of a saint on it doesn't mean it's automatically of greater significance."

"So you gave it the name Blueberry to show how a name was irrelevant compared to how good the education is"

"Precisely, thought all of that myself" Cyrano winked, tapping on his noggin. "This here school is the most ambitious, and easily one of the best in the entire region, the world too. It is a school dedicated to battling, and is no slouch in other areas as well. There's a whole new generation of powerful trainers upon us, there's no point in offering them any less but the best considering the wonders they can give."

"But why is it in the sea?" Florian scratched his right eyebrow. "I'm sure Humilau city has a lot of space if you're looking for a more amphibious place, and if not, well, then that just brings up a whole bunch of other cities."

"Oh.. well now that's a bit more complex, but you see... uh..." Cyrano scratched his head. It was a whole complex thing really, normally all the explanations regarding this portion was something he relegated to-

"That is because the entire academy is also situated and connected on top of a hydrothermal vent," spoke a feminine voice. The twins turned to see a girl, pretty and pink. Pink hair and pink clothes, a cutesy face clearly maintained by some kind of routine. "Hydrothermal vent is a bit reductive of a statement though, it's a lot more. But that involves a bunch of Unovan history that's best saved for class."
