After Clarke stormed out of the café, the group was left in an awkward silence. Octavia watched the door swing shut behind her, a deep frown creasing her brow. She turned back to the others, confusion and concern etched across her face.
"What the hell was that about?" Octavia asked, her voice a mix of irritation and bewilderment. "I don't get her, we are friendly enough to include not only her but her friend group,no offense, into our tight circle and she reacts like that. Does she not want to have friend or something. Does anyone know what her problem is?"
Luna, who had been quietly observing the entire exchange, hesitated for a moment before speaking up. She had known Clarke for a while not longer than some but the longest, long enough to pick up on the underlying reasons for her behaviour, but she also knew that Clarke valued her privacy and she couldn't tell everything especially to people Clarke didn't consider well anything "It's complicated, O. Clarke's been going through a lot, but it's not really my place to say."
"Come on, Luna," Bellamy urged, leaning forward. "We just want to help. If something's wrong, we should know."
Luna shook her head gently, choosing her words carefully. "Clarke's dealing with some personal stuff. Family issues, mainly. It's been tough on her, and sometimes it just... comes out like this."
Jona, who had been quietly listening, nodded. "Yeah, but blowing up at us like that? It's not like her. She's been different ever since... well, you know." He glanced at Luna, who gave a subtle nod of understanding.
"She just needs space," Luna added, her voice soft. "Pushing her isn't going to help. She's not ready to talk about it, and trying to make her will only push her further away."
Octavia sighed, crossing her arms. "I just hate seeing her like this. It's like she's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, and she won't let anyone help. But who am I to say I bearly know her"
Luna offered a small, understanding smile. "Sometimes, you just have to let people come to you when they're ready. Clarke will talk when she's ready. In the meantime, the best thing we can do is be there for her, even if it's from a distance."
Octavia nodded slowly, absorbing Luna's words. "So, what do we do? Just wait for her to come around?"
A thoughtful look crossed Luna's face, and she glanced around at the group, gauging their reactions. "I think... we could try going somewhere she likes. Maybe seeing that we care without pushing her might help."
Raven raised an eyebrow. "Where are you thinking?"
Luna's gaze shifted slightly, a knowing look in her eyes. "I know Clarke's favourite spot—a place she goes to clear her head. It's a bit out of the way, but she's mentioned it to me a few times. We could go there, give her some space but also show her that we're here if she needs us."
Octavia looked intrigued. "Where is it?"
"It's a small clearing near the lake, surrounded by trees," Luna explained. "It's quiet, peaceful. Clarke goes there when she needs to think, to escape everything."
Bellamy glanced around at the others. "Should we tell the rest of the group?"
Luna shook her head. "No, let's keep it small. Clarke's already overwhelmed. The fewer people, the better."
Raven nodded in agreement. "I'm in. It's worth a shot."
With a silent understanding passing between them, the small group quickly made plans to head to Clarke's favourite spot. They knew Clarke might not welcome them with open arms, but they hoped that showing her they cared in a non-intrusive way, might help her feel less alone.
