Part 20

The next morning...

The issue of Sarocha aka a 'gold digger nurse' and 'high end slut' involving Patricia and Lingling spread like a wild fire in the elite community. Patricia as the daughter of conglomerate business owner, that assume to be the next generation leader and Lingling as their family owns the biggest hospital in the country to be involve in one woman that is incomparable to their wealth and status makes the issue sensationalize around their circle.

"That is what I'm telling you. You should be careful of the people around you, Yoko. I think its okay to date a woman to woman nowadays but dating someone that only likes you because of our money and status is something unacceptable. Don't be like your cousin."

Yoko look up and laugh at her Mom serious sermon. The family is now having breakfast and the hottest topic is about Saro and Lingling... but Yoko also concerned with Pat as she is also involve with the issue.

"Mom, I thought you said before that I should follow and be like P'Lingling." She said playful.

Yoko used to be compared with her cousins and it's always a comparison of how behind she is compare to the twins. Maybe her Mom thought that it would motivates her to do better but it clearly did not. She just cannot believe that today her Mom is telling her not to be like them.

"Your Mom makes a confusing direction sometimes." The Dad giggles as she side on his daughter's remark.

Both Dad and Yoko giggles that made the Mom roll her eyes and sigh.

"Come on Dad! I'm just concern to our daughter." She said annoyed to her daughter and husband tandem.

Don't worry Mom... I like someone who has the same wealth and status as we are.

On her way to school she texted her cousin P'Lingling just to check on her. Yoko gave her words of encouragement and offer her any help she might need. She didn't get any response but she expected that already. She just wants Lingling to know that she is thinking of her during this time.

"We are here." The driver announced.

"Thank you." She politely said as she pull up and saw Pat walking towards her.

She smile and quickly open the door.

"Pat!" She called.

Patricia smile back at her as she wait on the side.

"Have you heard the news?" Yoko asked when she reach Pat.

"What news?"

"Huh? Your parents did not tell you?"

"Tell me about what?"

Yoko looked at her. She realize that Pat doesn't know anything yet. She is weighing if she would tell her or not but in the end she decide on to be transparent to her.

She open her phone and gave it to Pat.

"The rumor been going around. I thought your parents already told you." Yoko said as she observes Pat face darken.

"A-are you okay?" She carefully asked to Pat.

Pat slowly looked at her and gave her the phone back.

"Thank you, Yoko. I have to go." She said and  turn around, walking away.

Yoko panicked and she followed her. Pat is running at this point.

"Where are you going?" She asked although she cannot catch up to her phase.

"To Sarocha." She said with a smile before she run even faster.

Yoko slowly stop and stood still. She just let Pat run away until she can no longer see her.

Pat...

Are you going back to her again?

She just cannot believe it. For Yoko, those screenshots are enough proof that Sarocha is not honest to Pat but...

"In the end, she will always choose her. Pat will always choose Sarocha whether we like it or not." Said the familiar voice.

There is sadness and acceptance in her voice. It's as if she already accepted defeat.

Yoko look at her side and she is not surprise to see that it was Faye, the owner of that voice.

"B-But..." She wants to say something but she does not have words to describe what she feels at this moment.

She just stare at her blankly.

Faye bitter smile linger in her lips as Yoko tried to hold it together and not cry in front of the teacher.

"It will hurt now but soon you will get used to it." She said and slowly turn around.
