Unthinkable (GL Thai - Ghost Ship)

Part 29

Camp day.

Yoko went with Orm in a mini bus together with other volunteers for full on experience. She is feeling fresh and excited as this is her first time to join this type of activity. She wake up really early for this and pack her things. She only need light-packing as Orm took care most of the things she needs for camping.

Yoko looked at Orm as the latter seem to be looking around and trying to locate someone. She smile and gently grab her shoulders.

"Calm down! P'Ying will come but not in bus because she will be driving to the location. Don't be too obvious." Yo said winking at her.

Orm nods.

"I see."

"Just relax, okay? P'Ying don't break promises. She will show up later." She reassured her but Orm still look nervous and agitated.

"I'm relaxed." She responded but her face says other wise.

The team arrive at the location and Yoko instantly spotted Ying's car.

"See? I told you! She will come." Yoko said enthusiastically.

Orm lowkey smile upon seeing that but her smile slowly fades when she saw Ying with bunch of new faces and one familiar face on her side which is Kate.

"I brought my friends. They will volunteer today as we need more people on the first day, right?" Ying sad smiling as she look at Orm.

Orm just nod her head to agree with it because it's true, they need more volunteers for the first day although she is kinda not liking the idea that she brought her ex too.

"P'Kate!" Yoko called and run to Kate and hug her.

"It's good to see you here, Yoko." Kate sweetly said and hug her back.

"Me too."

Orm look at her side and surprised that Ying is already there. Ying smile and whisper.

"Here is the drive. I proof read and commented some points on your novel." She said lowly and discreetly pass on the flashdrive but Kate point it out to Yoko.

"What is that?" Yoko asked.

"Hmmm.. I asked her to proofread my novel." She simply replied and put the drive in her pocket.

"Oh! You are done already? Can I read it too?" Yo asked.

"S-Sure." Orm said looking at Ying. "Have you read all of the c-contents?" She asked, her heart is pounding like crazy.

Ying smile and nods.

"Yes. All of it."

Orm mind went blank after that. Her hand is trembling as Ying gave the confirmation that she read all.

So, what now?

After the event, Orm notice that Ying is keeping her distance. She tried to reach out but when Ling told her that Ying needs time as she is going through something. She don't know what it is that time but respected it anyway.

She step back and had time to think and process all her complex emotions towards Ying. From the get go, she can recognize that she deeply misses Ying but her feelings are more than just missing someone and she slowly acknowledge why.

She acknowledge the jealousy she felt.

She acknowedge that she is being possesive towards Ying.

She acknowledge the joy and happiness it felt just by merely talking to her through the phone or even text.

She acknowledge the fact that their connection is authentic and one of a kind.

Orm don't just miss Ying, she crave for her presence. Every single thought she have were occupied by her and every day feels like she is dying withouth her presence. She don't know how she lasted that long but she respected the request of Ling to let Ying have her alone time so instead of pushing her boundaries, Orm thought of completing her novel so when the time came that Ying is okay to see her, the novel is ready as well.

She work all day and night for the novel to be completed and the timing is just right. When Ling called and gave her the green light to see Ying, her novel is ready and so is she. She ready to face the truth so together with the novel, she also wrote a letter. The letter of love confession where she pour all her raw feelings to Ying.

"Lets take a group picture?" Kate said after Ying introduce them to each other.

Orm is still out of it.

She is still thinking about the letter she wrote and the fact that Ying already read it is making her feel insanely nervous. She wants to see if there is a reply or something so she pretty much function autopilot as of the moment and just agree on anything.

She look up to pose for the picture when she feel a gentle arm in her waist. She look down and saw Ying's arm around her. She smile and instantly feel relieve.

"One ... two... three..." Kate commanded.

Orm look ut the camera and smile.

The picture captured the four of them. They look like on a double date on how they pose in that picture. Kate is on flirty wink as she holds the phone up while Yoko is pouting her lips towards Kate's cheeks. Then, few step back Ying is leaning towards Orm while her arms around her waist.

"Cute.." Yoko commented looking at Ying and Orm pose.

Kate giggled.

"True. So cute." She agreed.

"Yoko, did you bring your laptop?" Orm asked before the program starts.

"Huh? Why the hell would I bring my laptop on the camp?" Yoko asked totally confused about what is going on.

"No, I'm just checking." She said and Yoko notice that she is tapping her pocket.

"But I think some of P'Kate friends have laptop. Do you need anything?"

"Can you borrow one please... I just need to see something." She said.

Yoko nods and left.

She came back with a laptop.

"This is P'Kate's laptop." Yoko said but Orm doesnot care and plug the drive right away.

Yoko observe Orm. Orm look uneasy so she tried to calm her by gently rubbing her back.

"Relax.. I know P'Ying will be gentle with her comments. Don't overthink that much." She said thinking that Orm is panicking because of the comments Ying made to the novel.

But even Yoko is weirded out by the big of a emotion Orm is giving as of the moment. She knows Orm, she don't panick like this even there is major crisis. She always smile and have the positive attitude.

Orm heave a sigh and open the folder. She open the file for the novel first and saw comments and annotation from Ying. She scroll down to see if Ying read all the way through...and she confirm that Ying really did read all. She even have comments for the overall take.

"Are you okay?" Yoko asked as she can feel the intense emotions by Orm.

"Yes." She replied before clicking the other file.

Nothing.
No reply.
No annotation.
No comment.

"Orm..." Yoko called out when Orm started tearing up.

"I'm fine." Orm said as she unplug the drive. "Please tell P'Kate thank you for the laptop." She said before wiping her tears as if it was nothing and then run away.

"Orm!!" Yoko called out but she is confused wether to chase her or bring the laptop back to P'Kate.
