22. LET THE LOVE IN

— ANAIS' POV

The more time Anais spends with Jay's parents, the more she realises the dynamic of his relationship that he built with them — his entire personality is mirroring how his parents successfully turned and raised him into a fine gentleman. Those adults literally cloned another younger version of themselves because Jay's features are the epitome of perfect yet balance combination of his mother and father. The sharpness and depth of his eyes takes after his father — as Mr Park almost has the exact same stare as Jay's. His tall, defined nose shape is also a duplicate version of what his father has. Meanwhile Mrs Park passed down the shape of her mouth and face to Jay — which are rather smaller yet full on their faces.

With what they both had as his parents, a really good-looking and well-mannered human named Jay was destined to born into this world as their son eventually. Upon having to meet them for the first time, Anais feels beyond thankful to them for raising Jay with so much love and compassion wavering around him. Those evident no longer leaves Anais in curiosity as she finally understands that the reason why Jay is kind with those people around him is because he was raised correctly.

The lunch with the Parks is finally finished as soon as all of them exit the restaurant with their full stomachs. Following the steps of his parents from behind, Jay's mother abruptly turns around to both of them slightly as she announces. "Anais, do you like shopping? Why don't we all have a look and buy some stuffs while we're here?" Mrs Park suggests.

With a steady nod that Anais returns to the older, she hesitantly responds while giving her boyfriend a confused look. "Uh– sure thing. I can just follow since I don't really have things to buy at the moment" Anais claims before biting her lower lips unknowingly.

"I think it'll be fun to find you some new clothes and make up items, right?" Mrs Park asks with her arched brows. "splurging money on you won't be a big problem, dear." She states.

"But that'd be so much trouble, Mrs Park. You can just have me around without buying me anything. I am okay with it" Anais insists firmly. She just thought that shopping for her necessities will be such a burden to Jay's parents as they had already paid for the lunch meals earlier, however her declination has been rejected from those adults.

"No, it's not at all, Anais. It's been awhile since we shop for some clothes as a family, then today shall be the day of it" Mr Park exclaims before he continues, taking out his credit card and handing it over to Mrs Park, "Why don't two of you girls go ahead and have some female shopping while Jay and I check on some men's stores over there?" He suggests.

"That sounds like a nice idea! Anais and I could at least have some bonding time together" Jay's mother utters, already ushering the female to come with her. Anais turns to exchange her glance with Jay, only for him to reassure her softly. "Go ahead and have fun with Mom. You'll have a good time with her, I promise you." Jay mutters before unlocking their hands from each other, "I'll meet you again later after the shopping, okay?".

With that, Anais is finally alone with Mrs Park as they stroll further inside the mall. The female was dragged into a Chanel store as soon as Jay's mother notices a new of lipstick collection being displayed. "So, anything that you like, Anais?" Mrs Park asks with exhilarating tone laces in her voice. "What about this one? I think this colour might gonna look so good on you". The older picks out a mauve pink shade and slightly swatch it on her skin.
