Deep breaths Ashley.

"Hi Dad."

"Where are you going?"

"School, dad."

"It's starting today?"

"Yes Dad."

"Well, go then."

"I need to wear shoes, Dad."

"Well, go on, hurry up. You're always late."

Ashley sighed. "Okay, dad."

He raised his eyebrows, "Is there something you want to say to me, young lady?"

"No dad, nothing at all."

"Well then, wear your shoes and get out."

Ashley silently put on her sneakers and bolted out the door, a fresh stream of tears already forming in her eyes as she closed the door behind her.

She got into her car silently, wishing she never had to come back home.

The ride to school was quiet, Ashley didn't really want to listen to music.

She just wanted to be loved.

She wished anyone, whoever it was, would love her.

Anyone.

Just before the turn to her school, she stopped the car.

She stared at the path leading to school.

To Maia.

To Skye.

To Isobel.

To Marcus.

And then she turned the opposite way.

Boom boom boom.

So day three of school and I'm already dying.

It's painful, I tell you.

Somebody save me.

Oh, and I'm loving all the one shots I've gotten so far. You guys are such good authors.

If you haven't written anything yet and are debating over doing it, GO FOR IT! I'd love you forever if you do!
