goodbyes and end of story summary

hello to anyone who still has this story in their libraries lol.

I started this story almost 8 years ago, and cannot believe how much my life has changed. For reference, I was 15, and I am now 23, so yeah, big changes! Writing on this app got me through so much in high school and I met so many wonderful people through this fandom. I still listen to twenty one pilots, but I've moved away from being a hard-core stan and fanfiction writing for the most part. It seems I used a lot of romance fiction to fill the void of affection in my life, and as I celebrated my one year anniversary with my wonderful boyfriend, I find myself straying further and further from fanfiction, even in the fandoms I consider myself apart of now (The Witcher, primarily, is the only thing I read fanfiction of now, and occasionally think of prompts and such. Not that you asked lol).

All this is to say, I'm not going to lie and say "Oh I'll definitely finish this story for you all!" however, something an author did for a story I read way back was to give an end-of-story summary, which I really liked the idea of. This one probably had the most fleshed-out ending out of all of my books, so I'll do my best to scavenge through my head to give an alright summary of my plans.

So it seems we left off with Tyler losing his virginity. Some dry humping slash frottage stuff with Josh. I did have in mind some ideas of other sexy times, like Tyler using a pillow to get off on his own and being confused about masturbation and talking about that with Josh and Jenna. Also, I'm aware Tyler's level of innocence isn't really on par with an 18 year old boy, but it's fiction so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I actually never planned to include penetrative sex in this story. Some personal stuff, but I, myself, experience severe pain with even just two of my own fingers even as a ciswoman. I have a muscular barrier - basically, I can't unconsciously unclench myself enough - and am in the process of getting pelvic physical therapy (yes that's real). I've struggled with this aspect of myself for most of my sexually mature life, so I was going to give Tyler something similar.

Penetrative sex is NOT the only way to experience intimacy and I wanted to share that with you all through making Tyler unable to go through anal as the bottom, for whatever reason. Some men just can't physically bottom, and it doesn't have anything to do with "pushing through the pain" or "not being turned on enough" or whatever bullshit. Josh would make this clear to Tyler. He's not broken, and this doesn't mean that they'll never be "a real couple" just because "penis no go in butt." Etc., etc.

Basically, he'd say things I wanted to hear myself when I was Tyler's age and even convinced myself I was asexual to avoid the thought of my body preventing a loving and intimate relationship with someone I was interested in. Not to get too personal again, but my boyfriend has become this hypothetical Josh I longed for, saying that even if I can never have penetrative sex with him, let alone give birth to biological children, he doesn't care and there are many other ways to experience intimacy.

So if you struggle with this yourself or have fears of penetrative sex, especially young women who feel like they have to let their partner penetrate them even if it hurts or if you don't like it because "that's what women are meant to do", you are not alone, and you do not have to endure pain. Communicate with your partner, and if they take it personally, then that's their problem. There's nothing wrong with you, and you are not broken.

With all that said, the main form of intimacy for these two I had planned was intercrural sex, or using the thighs pushed together to create friction and tightness for the partner with the penis. I figured it was a good medium for them, and could even incorporate the fact that Tyler having some healthy chub on his legs would make it more pleasurable for both of them. Symbolism for being happier now that he's healthier, etc., etc.,

Regarding plot, I was planning on doing another prom chapter, senior prom this time, where Tyler and Josh can actually go together as a couple, yay! It was not to be without drama as Debby was set to make a return.

Basically she was going to bribe and/or seduce another guy to roofie Tyler's drink. Tyler does drink it and the guy comes over and is gross and makes him uncomfortable, but that's as far as it goes before Josh comes to the rescue. The day is saved, and the police show up after to arrest the dude and Debby since he tattled on her.

I'd also like to reiterate again, I don't hate Debby. I was immature, as many young fans are, and made assumptions and got WAY too invested parasocially into Josh's life. They're happy and married and in love and it's not any fan's business. That's my take. I needed a villian and it ended up being her because I liked Jenna more, that's really all there is to it.

Moving on, I recall another plot line where it would be another baseball game. The championship game in fact, and there are college recruiters and stuff. Honestly, I don't think I had much planned, just typical 'oooo tension' and then a win at the end for Josh's team and celebrations around. We would end with college recruiters approaching the coach and motioning to Josh and calling him over and ooooo, college plans!

So, not sure how clear I made this (I genuinely don't remember if I ever said it lol), but this story setting is some small town in Georgia, in the United States. I planned to have a bit more of tension at the end with Josh thinking he's going to a different college at the end when he gets a baseball scholarship to University of Georgia. Little does he know, that Tyler is also going to University of Georgia for a Marine Biology major! Yaaaay, they go to the same college and are in love forever, happy endings :)

Oh, and I did plan to have the side relationship of Ryan and Dallon because I thought it was funny because there's suddenly been like a huge dip in Brendon Urie popularity lol. I've never been a huge fan of him as a person, but it's not like he's a murderer, so whatever, it's not that deep.

Aaand, that's it! I know this is not the ending any of you wanted, but I figured it was better than nothing. I'm moving in with my boyfriend in February and starting my first job out of college so I figured it was time to fully wrap up this part of my life. I'll try to keep my account active (in the sense of Wattpad not deleting it lmao), because these stories are a big part of me and I don't want them deleted. you can find me on ArchiveOfOurOwn at the username dandeliondove, though I don't really post there, just read occasionally.

This was typed all in one sitting and not double checked so sorry for any typos or weirdness lol. I do plan to do this for my other two stories, so if any of you read those, look forward to a summary there in like 30min or something lol.
