I gasped awake as my new heart began to function. Coughing slightly as I tried to get used to it.

"Damn." I coughed before banging my hand to my chest to get it going right.

"Eleanor?" I looked up to see Finn standing there. He flashed over to me with an angry stare. "Why the hell did you do that?! I thought you were dead!"

I flinched a bit. Shocked by him yelling at me as I had just come back to life.

"I'm fine." I rasped out before coughing. "New heart is just struggling to catch up to my poor life choices."

Finn clearly didn't appreciate my answer as he grabbed my chin and forced me to meet his beautiful hazel eyes.

"You scared me." He muttered as his eyes flickered over every inch of my face.

"I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." I whispered. Finn sighed and leaned in, resting his forehead to mine.

"Niklaus wants revenge." Finn muttered. "You ruined his chances."

"His chances of what? He's a bigger idiot than I thought if he thought that was all he had to do." I rolled my eyes. Finn frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"The curse can't be broken by killing the doppelganger. He'll still need her to create hybrids if that is the plan." I said before pausing. I had no idea where that information had come from. "I don't know where that came from."

"You've been around longer than you think." Finn said as he brushed a piece of my hair back.

"No. You and Elijah are just hallucinating and need to be put back on your meds. Olanzapine is good, I've heard. We'll get you the help you two need." I hummed sarcastically as I got out of the bed I had been tucked into. Finn growled at me and pulled me to him.

"You know.. sometimes, I think you're just asking to be punished." He growled into my ear, causing me to shiver.

"I never took you as the type.. seems more like Elijah. Not that I would know. I've never been with him that way." I looked up at Finn and smirked. "Maybe I will, though. Think he'd tie me up and spank me? Should I call him daddy or sir?"

I was pushing Finn on purpose. I knew by the deep growl of jealousy that it was working. Finn leaned in closer, his lips near my ear.

"Careful... Elijah can hear you downstairs." Finn whispered against my ear. I whined softly and shook my head.

"He doesn't want me." I mumbled, earning a scoff from Finn.

"He's in love with you. Just as Enzo and I are as well." Finn admitted. I pulled myself away from him immediately.

"Don't do that." I said sternly. "Don't throw that word around. Love doesn't exist. Its... it's just a meaningless word for people to throw around to keep an obsession."

Finn frowned, his eyebrows furrowed.

"You don't believe in love?" He questioned slowly. I shook my head.

"I did... once." I mumbled, looking away. Finn sighed.

"Freya." He whispered in understanding. "She loved you, Eleanor. I don't doubt that at all."

"You don't know that. She left me. Just as you will. Just as you all will." I stepped back, ready to bolt before the door flung open.

"I found her!!!" Kol shouted with excitement. "Freya! She's alive!!"

Those words caused my new heart to do so many things at once that it could have been in the Guiness World Records for Multitasking.

"Wh-where?" Were the words out of my mouth as I stumbled from my new heart doing too much. Finn caught me and held me to him firmly.

"New Orleans."
