Elijah's POV:
I gasped awake, my hand flying to my chest as my new heart glitched out. I couldn't breathe. I could feel my new heart trying to eject itself from my body.
I flashed out of the bed and slammed into the wall, roughing as I tried to force my heart into a normal pace.
"Eleanor -" I gasped as I flashed into the door harder. She wasn't there. I knew that.
I flashed myself out of the hotel and into the street as I glanced around. My heart was still beating oddly.
It was nighttime now. Only one person was walking the street with their dog. I ran over to them and looked into their eyes.
"I'm terribly sorry for this." I rasped out before grabbing them and tearing into their neck. The dog barked and whined as it laid down and covered its eyes with its paws.
I drank in fast spurts, like a starved man.
Once the person was empty, I dropped them. Blood was running down my chin as I took in my first deep breath.
My eyes flicked around, trying to spot the date. The bodies in the hotel room seemed older than a day.
"A week..." I muttered as I saw a newspaper despenser.
Eleanor killed me a week ago. Ripped my heart out as if it was nothing.
Her humanity is off.
I had to remind myself. But then... how was I alive?
Finn's POV:
"Rebekah." I greeted as I stood in front of my sister. She hadn't been around since we had been undaggered. I had no idea where she had been.
"Finn. I've heard there's a killer on the loose. Figured it might have been Kol." Her eyes flicked to Kol before she tsked. "Is Nik throwing a tantrum then?"
"It's Eleanor." I said as Kol whined.
"Why would you think it was me??" Kol huffed. Rebekah ignored him, though, as she looked at me.
"Eleanor? Why is she killing people and leaving evidence? Did you break her heart?" She asked. I growled at her sarcastic queation.
"She turned her humanity off." Enzo spoke up. Rebekah glanced at him before disregarding him and looking at me.
"Well? Are you trying to find her or just standing around hoping she'll just... come to you?" I really disliked my family sometimes.
"We can't find her." Kol stated before sighing. "Besides, neither of us can get her humanity back on. She needs Freya."
Rebekah frowned at that. Not that i blamed her. It was all just a big mess.
"Our sister Freya? She's dead. She was never a vampire." She said like it was obvious.
"Eleanor had a thing with her in the 1400s. She's alive now, as well. It's just a matter of finding her." Kol said as he sat back in his seat.
"So the only lead you have is what? Finding our long-lost sister to bring back a woman who clearly wanted to be lost?" She rolled her eyes. "I like her, don't get me wrong. But she needs to die. She's bringing too many eyes to us."
Rebekah wasn't wrong. I know that. But I wouldn't rather die myself than kill Eleanor. She saved me. I wouldn't let anything happen to her.
I snapped my attention to my phone as it rang.
"Elijah.." I answered.
"Tell me where you are. We need to talk." Elijah said, all serious. I was a bit concerned.
"New Orleans looking for Freya. Tell me what is happening. Where is Eleanor going? You were supposed to be watching her." I told him as Kol, Enzo, and Rebekah looked at me.
"Eleanor killed me. Ripped my heart out." Elijah's words made me freeze.
"How are you even alive now?" Was the only words I could think of to say.
"I have no idea. She found out I had my humanity on, and I tried to get her back.. but it didn't work." Elijah said before sighing. "I'm coming to New Orleans. She won't let me get close to her again."
"See you soon." I sais before hanging up.
"What happened?" Kol questioned as he stood up.
"Eleanor killed Elijah." I said with a sigh as I tried to process it all. Rebekah scoffs and rolls her eyes.
"Little vampires can't kill us by just staking us. Won't they ever learn?" She muttered. I looked at her and shook my head.
"She ripped his heart out. He was dead." I told her. Instantly, Rebekah looked like she would kill Eleanor on sight.
"I'll kill that bitch!" She growled and moved to leave. Enzo and I flashed over to the door, stopping her. Kol flashed to behind her, his hand on her wrist.
"You can't do that." Kol said as Enzo and I growled.
"She's a bloody menace!!" Rebekah snapped. "I don't care if she did undagger us. She killed Elijah!!!"
"But he's alive. He's on his way here." I told her with a growl in my voice. "You won't leave here if you have intents to kill her."
"You both are being controlled by her! Don't you see?? She's compelled you, or it's her blood!" Rebekah said as she looked ready to do what she had to do. I shook my head.
"I'm in love with her, Rebekah. Elijah is in love with her. Enzo is in love with her." I told her. Rebekah looked disgusted as she stood there.
"Don't be Niklaus, Rebekah." Kol said from behind her. That was all she needed. She scoffed and ripped her hand from Kol.
"And what of you, brother? Are you in love?" She asked, looking at Kol. Kol laughed.
"No. If anything, I'm thankful to her. She let me have magic for a while again. And she can do that for you." He said. I rolled my eyes.
"She's not someone to be used for her blood." I growled.
"No. She's family." Kol corrected, giving me and Enzo a nod. I sighed in relief as Rebekah sighed and moved into the room.
"So what now?" She asked.
