"You're not the only one," Y/n whispered, her voice barely audible as she leaned in, brushing her lips against Kenny's again.

The warmth between them was electric now, their breaths mingling in the quiet room. Kenny's hands traveled back to her waist, his grip firm but gentle, grounding her as they leaned further into each other. Y/n felt her heart pounding in her chest, the anticipation building as his lips trailed slowly from hers to the corner of her jaw, then down to her neck.

Her hands slid under the hem of his hoodie, the soft fabric giving way to the warmth of his skin. Kenny shivered under her touch, pulling her even closer. Their movements became slower but more deliberate, every touch and kiss filled with a heady mix of affection and desire.

Just as Y/n was about to lose herself completely in the moment, a sharp sound shattered the tranquility. The unmistakable jingle of keys echoed from the front door, followed by the faint clink of metal against the lock.

Y/n froze, her eyes snapping open. "Oh no," she whispered, glancing toward the door.

Kenny pulled back, his expression confused. "What? What's wrong?"

"It's my mom," Y/n hissed, scrambling off his lap.

The jingling continued, followed by the unmistakable sound of someone muttering under their breath.

"Come on, not again," her mom's tired voice mumbled from the other side of the door.

Y/n panicked, looking at Kenny. "You have to hide!"

Kenny blinked, his mind catching up to the situation. "Hide? Where?"

"My room!" she whispered urgently, pointing toward the stairs.

Her mom fumbled with the keys again, the sound of metal scraping against the lock signaling that she was still struggling to get it right.

"Why is this door always so stubborn?"

Kenny scrambled to his feet, grabbing his hoodie that had been halfway pulled off in the heat of the moment. He darted toward the stairs, taking them two at a time as quietly as he could. Y/n straightened her sweater, her heart racing as she quickly smoothed down her hair, trying to look as casual as possible.

Finally, the door swung open, and her mom stumbled in, looking utterly exhausted.

"Hey, Mom," Y/n said, plastering on the most innocent smile she could muster.

Her mom glanced at her, bags under her eyes, and gave a tired wave. "Hi, sweetheart. Long day." She yawned, dropping her keys onto the counter with a clatter.

Y/n nodded, inching toward the stairs. "You look exhausted. You should head to bed. I've got everything under control here."

Her mom blinked at her, clearly too tired to notice anything out of the ordinary. "You're probably right. I'm just going to grab a glass of water first."

Y/n let out a silent breath of relief, turning toward the stairs. As she climbed them as casually as she could, she could feel her pulse pounding in her ears. When she reached her room, she opened the door to find Kenny standing awkwardly in the middle of it, his hoodie back on but slightly askew.

"That was close," he said, grinning sheepishly.

Y/n rolled her eyes, closing the door quietly behind her. "You think?"

Kenny stepped closer, his hands finding her waist again. "So, where were we?"

Y/n laughed softly, resting her forehead against his. "Not here, that's for sure. Let's wait until we don't have an audience."
