Hey, guys. Quick a/n: I'll change how Mika speaks and make it "like this" instead of this.

Katherine stood frozen for a minute, simply gazing at her windowsill. Her mouth opened then closed. It took her a few minutes more to successfully recover, much to be annoyance of Mika. She swung the window open, still slightly dazed.

Of course she would be shocked. Who wouldn't if an eagle visited your room?

Tick tock tick tock tick. . .

One two three four five. . .

. . . Tock tick tock tick tock. . .

. . . Six seven eight nine ten. . .

I counted along to the rhythmic clicking of my clock, still silently lying in bed like I had been for the past ten minutes. Staying up since half-past four in the morning is not a great experience especially if you're as sleep deprived as me.

Last night was freakin stressful with all the extra projects my group mates in school had dumped on me last second. It was a surprise I had finished them all in time. Right now they were all down stairs, tucked neatly into some paper bags I'm planning to haul all the way to school. Don't fail me muscles.

I frowned at my door, irked about the fact light was somehow entering my room until the fresh scent of newly baked pancakes wafted in. My door was open a crack from when I bolted downstairs to grab a glass of water after accidentally eating some of my shampoo. Don't ask how.

Oh, gosh. Do I walk out or sleep?

The smell of pancakes was so tempting. . .

"Nah. . . ."

. . . But my bed was more tempting.

Laziness is my middle name. A pint of mango ice cream and my Telly, then my life would be complete!

I snuggled back into my soft covers, nearly lulled back into sleep until my bedroom door suddenly burst open. I peaked from under my duvet and frowned internally at the sight of Isabella fully dressed and ready for the day. Unlike her, I was the stereotypical Filipino who enjoyed working early in the morning and sleeping the rest of the day. I already studied and finished my homework about four hours ago and fell asleep again.

"Katherine, come on, let's go! We're gonna be late!" The girl tugged at my blankets in an unsuccessful effort of getting me to stand.

Please note the following completely true fact below:

Morning: The time of the day when gravity in your bed is stronger.

Okay, so it's not actually true, but the context of what it means does.

A few more minutes of unsuccessful tugging on the sheets, she gave up with a loud and exasperated sigh. Please tell me she left-

The curtains screeched as something pulled them backwards which allowing new rays of dreaded sunlight to invade my room and 'brighten up my day'. Did no one know that the sun was evil? Fresh streams of light struck my eyes and burned through my eyelids like I was a vampire walking in the day. I groaned in protest as my eyes stung. "School is evil. Leave me be, kapatid."

Isabella ignored me and yanked my whole body off the bed.

"GET UP, KATHERINE. DAMMIT YOU FATASS. WAKE UP. DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE YOUR FRIENDS ON A BAD NOTE?!"
