I stood there paralyzed, Nico glaring at me.
Kendra was leaving? One of my best friends (and longtime crush) was leaving. Today? Forever?

Nico shook his head in that "Hello? I'm talking to you, SAY SOMETHING,"
I shook myself and managed a short and breathy, "Uh, okay?Uhmmm...Wow. Okay, uhhhhh..."
I stood there like an idiot, not knowing what to say.
Nico rolled his eyes and muttered something that sounded like, "Idiot. What is he doing?"
I honestly don't know.
"When is she leaving?" I blurted.
He seemed to mentally roll his eyes, like, "Why me?"
Sheesh, no need to be so obvious.
"Next Monday, to...do whatever," He waved his hands in that "I don't even know," way.
I sat down hard. Wow.
