Probably. This will be one of my final hybrids, at least for a while, as I want to focus on other things in the meantime. What started as a fun revisiting of an old one-off story, quickly turned into me making more hybrid than people can name off the top of their head. I have one more in the work, but this one was easier and admittedly more interesting. Hope you enjoy
But enough about that, as in this, I'll be making something perfect for hunting humans, while still being a capable threat. And to breathe new life into this thing, I won't be making this a dinosaur, besides, anything that is historically a threat to humans was more or less a mammal. With that being said, let's get started.

For the base, I decided to use Thylacoleo, as the marsupial lion - whilst small - was potentially a fierce ambush predator, with some gnarly teeth already, capable of breaking bones. It also has climbing abilities, as well as a sort of thumb that boosts it more than any cat, as it can grab and hold branches more easily. Another trait kept will be its tail, used for balance whenever it rears up or leaps. But while its teeth are potent as is, there's a creature with much better mandibles we could use.

The Cave hyena; an old enemy of Neanderthals, and Apex predators of their regions, outnumbering and even oppressing cave lions and bears, with some believing it wasn't till their extinction people took the chance to crossover to the Americas. Those jaws will be excellent for this hybrid, giving it a killer bite, which would be helpful. But what could make that bite worse comes in a returning face.
