Today's hunt had gone much worse then usual. You, Dean, and Sam were hunting a Rakshasa one of those shape shifting creatures that eats human flesh. This Rakshasa had run into the forest away from you guys, but when you three split up to look for it the Rakshasa had taken the appearance of Sam making you go with him. Once it had lead you back to his lair he transformed back to his original form and he knocked you out tying you up. He cut you up a bit tasting your flesh, but you were finally found by Sam and Dean. They killed the Rakshasa, but you were still pretty shaken up by it.

You guys arrived back at the motel to be mended up by Sam who was sticking you up right now, and so far you had not said a single word since they had rescued you. Partially because you were embarrassed but mostly because you were still scared.

"Y/N. Y/N!" Sam said interrupting your daze. "You okay?" All you could do was nod. "You haven't said anything since we saw you. You are most definitely not okay."

"I'm fine." You insisted firmly. Sam seemed to take that as his cue to shut up, so he finished stitching you up, and you headed off to bed. Sam later joined you because it was your guys' turn to share a bed.

Night had come and you had not been able to fall asleep at all, looking at the clock you saw you had been laying in bed for three hours now and still no sleep. Finally when you decided you needed sleep so you forced yourself to shut your eyes.

But your dreams were flooded with the nightmares of the monsters eyes, and his teeth baring into your flesh. You awoke shaking, and you would have been screaming but you didn't want to wake your companions. But tears flooded down your face as you tried to hold back your sobbing.

However, to your surprise you felt a warm hand touch your shoulder, and Sam move closer to you. He wrapped his arms around your body and pulled you into him. His warm embrace made your shaking subside, and his scent made you feel safe.

He didn't say anything, but he never let you go, and soon you drifted off into a better sleep, one filled with dreams of you and your companions singing to AC/DC in the impala. It was a happy memory.

The next morning you woke back up still wrapped in Sam's arms with his head resting on yours. Ever since then that is the only way you'll sleep after a hunt.
