You and Jo sat at the counter of her mother's bar. Both of you had beer in front of you, while Dean, Sam, and Ash sat at the other end of the bar with Ash's computer in front of him. They were whispering to each other while Ash slapped Dean's hands away from the computer.

You kept staring at them until Jo waved her hand in front of your face. "Earth to Y/N, you in there?" She asked with a laugh.

"Uh, yeah." You mumbled. "What's up?"

"Is there something going on between you and one of them?" She asked following your gaze.

You could feel the blood rush to your face. "What, no, I've only been traveling with them for-"

"Two years" Jo butted in. "And they've saved your life multiple times, and you've been sleeping in the same room with them every night, and don't you guys share beds with them?"

"So what?" You countered.

"So, if any girl spends as much time with them as you do, how can you not fall for one of them?"

"Because, I've been with them for two years." You sighed sadly.

"Oh," Jo seemed to know what you were talking about.

"Every case one of them is hooking up with another girl, and they never give me a second look. It's like I'm just like I'm another guy."

You took a swig of your beer. "You really think that?" Jo asked. "But I guess you wouldn't see it."

"See what?" You asked looking at her confused.

"The way Dean looks at you when you're not looking."

With a scoff, you took another drink. "You're seeing things."

Jo smirked. "Am I?" She asked. "You see that hunter over there." She motioned with her head to a man who looked to be around Ash's age, and he wasn't overly attractive, but he wasn't hideous either. "He's been staring at you the whole time, I'm sure if I walked away he'll come over, and Dean will be over within five minutes."

"You want to bet on that?" You asked.

"50 bucks says Dean will come to your rescue within 10 minutes." Jo said.

You smiled and held out your hand. "Deal." She shook your hand and walked off. Taking a drink of your beer, you smiled. "Easiest 50 dollars I will ever make."

Just as Jo had said the guy came over, and took the stool Jo was sitting in. "Haven't seen you around these parts before, you a friend of Jo's?" He asked leaning towards you.

You could smell the alcohol on his breath. "Yeah, I'm a friend, and I'm just passing through."

"You're a hunter." He commented.

"Yep," You said with a bored expression.

"I've never seen a hunter as pretty as you." He slurred reaching up his hand to stroke your hair, but you backed up.

"I don't think so." You snubbed your nose.

"Come on baby," He reached his hand up again, and you were about to grab his hand and twist it behind his back, but before you could, the man was ripped from his stool, and thrown to the ground.

"She said no," You turned to see Dean standing over the man with the deadliest expression. "Now, leave her alone, or you're going to regret you ever walked into this bar. Got it?"

The man nodded, and he scuttled off to the exit. Dean turned back to you and his expression softened. "You okay?" He asked.

"I could have handled him." You sassed. You would have been flattered that he came to your rescue expect that you were now out 50 dollars.

"Did he touch you?" Dean asked ignoring your comment.

"I'm fine," You sassed. "Why do you care anyway?"

"You're my partner, we watch out for each other."

You're heart dropped just a bit, but what were you expecting, him to reveal his feeling for you. "Yeah, sure." You turned to face the bar again, and you expecting Dean to walk away, but instead he took the empty seat next to you. "What?" You asked bitterly.

"Something wrong?" Dean asked.

"I'm fine," You went to take another drink from your beer, but Dean grabbed the bottle away from you.

"No you're not." He said grabbing the side of you head, and turning it so that you were looking at him. "Is it because I beat that guy up for you, I know you could have handled him, I just thought I would save you the effort."

You could feel tears brimming your eyes, and you tried to fight them, but finally they cascaded down your cheeks. You tried to look away so Dean couldn't see, but he still had his hand on your face. "Hey, hey," He pulled you into hug and held you tightly. "Please tell me what's wrong?"

"I think I need to leave." You finally said.

"You need air?" Dean asked.

"No, I think I need to go off on my own again."

Dean pulled back and looked at you shocked. "What? You want to leave me and Sammy?"

"I think it's time."

"No," Dean said simply.

"What?"

"I'm not letting you go off to hunt on your own."

"You didn't even want me hunting with you in the first place, we were only suppose to hunt for one mission."

"Yeah, and I'm glad we extended it. You know Sam and I would both be dead 10 times over if not for you. And if you leave me, we will die for sure."

"So the only reason you want me to stay around is so you and Sam don't die?"

"Don't make me say it."

"Say what?"

"I've grown.... attached to you."

"Attached?" You said pathetically.

"You know what I mean, I care for you, and if anything were to happen to you, I don't know if I could live with myself. If you stay with us, we can protect each other."

"And when you say you care for me...."

"I mean, I love you, and if you leave, I will follow." There was a long pause, and then Dean stood up. "I need to get back to Ash, but if you need anything I will be here, and don't think about leaving." And with that he walked off, but not before giving you a wink.

Seconds later Jo walked up with her hand out. With a growl you handed her 50 dollars. "Told ya,"
