Light woke up to the sun shining through his bedroom window. He groaned as he squinted his eyes shut still tired and from the brightness of the sun. Light turned onto his back, covered with the blanket. He stared up into the ceiling as he thought of last night. Freya’s figure, standing on top of the building across from him, and then her face appeared in his mind. He thought really hard on how he met in the first place. All he could comprehend was him doing homework and this black rose came out of nowhere. Light had touched it in curiosity and once he turned, that was he saw her for the first time.

She had warned him about something. What was it? Light dismissed it as he shook his head. His mind drifted off to what his dream was about. He was in his dark room and Freya was there with him. He placed his hand on her cheek, feeling her cold, pale, yet soft skin. His soft brown eyes looked into her lifeless blue ones. He could have sworn that the girl known as Freya was perhaps still alive and could hear a faint “Help… me… help… please…”

However, that voice was an illusion. He wanted to believe in the girl he heard so much about was still alive. Light’s dream then continued as he laid her on his bed with him hovering over her. Light’s expression turned into wonder and… love? Freya remained emotionless, staring back up at him, no moving a muscle like how he saw her on the building that night. Light’s lips slowly went downward to meet Freya’s small lips but then… Light’s dream ended. To him it felt so real and not a dream at all.

Light got up from his bed with a light groan. He went and sat at his desk and opened his laptop and began searching for something. He typed in ‘Fallen Angels’ and clicked ENTER. He then clicked on links and read articles about Fallen Angels. Basically, every one of them mentioned Fallen Angels being forbidden in heaven and being demons. Light knew this wasn’t true. No one knew about the truth of Fallen Angels.

Light then read another article from this woman who wrote an interesting story. Her story was about her, who was an alcoholic and a drug addict. She went through pain people shouldn’t suffer for, but she still had loved ones she didn’t even realize. One day, she was over the edge and almost died of an overdose. Once she opened her eyes in the hospital, that was when she saw an angel like figure in all black, even the wings. The creature was a male fallen angel. The woman described the male angel had no emotion, no life in his voice and eyes, and looked like a sad, lonely creature. The same like Freya…

The male angel had warned her of her addictions and she was lucky to have survived. He told her the next time would be her last. The woman cried in realization and remembered those who cared for her. Ever since her encounter with the male angel, she got professional help. Eventually, she was clean of the alcohol and drugs and restarted her life. However, she never saw the handsome male angel ever again.

Light scrolled the page down and saw a drawing the woman drew since she studied to be an artist major. It was a picture of the male angel she saw and drew a picture of him. Light sat back in his chair and thought about this. If this angel helped the woman out, then fallen angels still have a purpose in this world. But what was the reason? Then his thoughts led to Freya and all of her visits.

“Who are you trying to help, Freya” Light asked himself out loud. “Is it one of the investigators? L? Me?” Light became quiet. “Or is it Kira?”

Light stayed in his seat as he was left in his room in silence with his thoughts.

Days went on as Light, L, and the others found out Kira was one of the Yotsuba members. Now, they were so close to capturing him. Misa helped with the plan and by using her advantage, the man named Higuchi was revealed to be Kira. Their plan to capture him was set when the time was right. Light; however, noticed that he hadn’t seen Freya at all during the time. Light started to miss her presence more and more. He would always wonder why, but it wouldn’t be answered.

It was already night when Light entered his room. He sat on the edge of his bed and stared out the window, overlooking the city. He waited. And kept his eyes alerted. He waited to see Freya, but the creature never showed up.
