I slowly opened up my eyes, taking in the world around me as I finally recollected what exactly took place last night, after the grogginess slowly left my mind. I was in Jax's room. Most of the night. I jolted up quickly, the frog themed blankets were strewn across my body as my eyes darted to every corner of the room, finally landing on Jax's bed. He wasn't there, surprisingly.

I got up off of the floor and thought maybe he just decided to leave for the morning or that I overslept or whatever. I thought he would wake me up or something at least, out of spite of something, since I woke him up late at night...but obviously THAT didn't happen. I was about to leave the room to head over to the main area when I noticed a piece of paper that was on the floor right by the door. Picking up the piece of paper, I noticed that there were words written on it. The writing was a bit sloppy, but I could still make out each syllable carefully, regardless.

I tried waking you up, but u wouldn't budge, so I'm heading to the main area without you. I didn't know u were SUCH a heavy sleeper, I will keep that in mind, don't worry.
-Yours truly, Jax :)
PS let's pretend last night didn't happen, k? I don't want u getting any ideas or assuming whatever. Let's just mutually stay quiet abt it. I don't need the others knowing. Thx.

Note to self: Jax has awful hand writing and doesn't fully write out words sometimes. I will keep that in mind. Though, with the bad penmanship and wacky writing aside, at least he bothered writing a note, just so I know nothing happened to him. Not like I care, of course, but it's still nice to know that he's okay. Though...I never particularly saw myself as a heavy sleeper, since back in the real world, I woke up to random shit all the time, no matter how quiet. So either he's lying and didn't bother waking me up, I was actually extremely tired so last night I was a pretty heavy sleeper, or the digital world is doing something to my circadian rhythm.

I folded the note and placed it back where I found it before heading out of Jax's room and into the very bright and colorful hallway. Luckily the others weren't around (though that might mean I'm probably last) so I started heading my way over to the main area of the circus, confirming my suspicions about being last.

As I walked into the room, the others looked over at me. I tried acting as normal as I could, but I couldn't help regretting how fear-ridden and selfish I still feel like I have been acting lately. Sure, last night Jax told me I wasn't, but I don't really believe him. He was probably just saying that out of pure obligation, and what sucks more is that I can't talk to him about it--unless I wanted to ignore what his original note said.

While the others in the circus were engaging in whatever conversation they were going on about, I sat at the edge of the couch, just thinking to myself for a moment until I felt a soft tap on my shoulder. I glanced over, expecting it to be Jax or something, but instead, it was Pomni. I raised an eyebrow at the tiny jester, curious why she suddenly wanted to get my attention when we've never really spoken much. To be honest, the only ones I really spoke to (to a certain extent) were Zooble, Gangle, and obviously, Jax. Pomni, Ragatha, and Kinger were complete mysteries to me when it comes to their personality and how they act, besides the surface-level stuff.

"What's up?" I asked Pomni as I sat up straighter in my seat.

"Well...this might be a weird request, but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind spending this next adventure with me...whatever the adventure may be."

Oh? Now THAT is something that is surprising to me. Why would Pomni want to hang out with me, when she barely knows me? That just...seems a bit weird. Unless she's just the naturally social type of person and I wouldn't know.

Seeing my confusion, she cleared her throat and tried to clarify a bit. "I just, well, wanted to get to know you better. I've spoke to the others, but since you're new and everything, um...I don't really know much about you. Y-You can decline, of course, since you seem to surprisingly gravitate towards Jax the most but...it's an option. That I'm willing to give you, that is."
