"Bilbo! Wait for me I want to come with you!" You cried out in your childish voice as you trotted out of your house and after your dear friend Bilbo.

Bilbo laughed quietly as you ran down the little cobblestone path behind him. "Well then hurry up, Y/N!" He called to you, slowing only so that you could catch him.

As you ran down the path you giggled softly, crashing into him from behind, hard but not hard enough to knock him over. He swayed slightly at first then steadied the both of you, smiling softly down at you.

"Are you ready to go on an adventure, Y/N?" He asked and you nodded your head ecstatically. "Yes yes! Where are we going?!" You cooed happily, a smile occupying your lips.

A little smirk spread over Bilbo's young face at your excitement. "Somewhere exciting."

As you sat atop a pony in the pouring rain you thought about just how crazy you were for accepting the invite to this quest. You did like adventures, that was true. You had liked them ever sense you were young and you would go exploring with Bilbo... But more than anything you quite liked Bilbo.

And though he had invited you and you had been more than willing, you were now wondering why you had not been intelligent enough to bring a coat with you. You were shivering from the chill of the rain and laughing softly as one of the Dwarves asked Gandalf weather or not he could stop the rain. Gandalf's answer made you giggle but you were still soaked to the bone.

You figured you might just catch hypothermia and die when you heard someone trot up beside you on their pony. Slowly you looked up, your hand moving to brush your rain soaked hair from your face as you were greeted by the soft smile of Bilbo. "Hey there." He said and your frozen cheeks flushed a light pink.

"Hey B-Bilbo...!" You said happily though your teeth were chattering and your body was shaking. Bilbo frowned slightly as he realized just how cold you were. He moved to pull something out of bag, the little droplets of rain lightly dotting his face. You watched him with a raised eyebrow, curiosity taking you over.

That's when, to your surprise, Bilbo pulled out and extra jacket and leaned close enough to you to wrap it around your shoulders. Your cheeks which were already pink flushed even brighter at his kind act. You were stuttering out a thank you when he waved it of and said;

"I can't have a lovely lady like you freezing now can I?" He said, giving you a shy smile as he did so.

You grinned sheepishly before leaning over to lightly peck his cheek, in turn making his own cheeks redden.

"Thank you Bilbo."
