Chapter 7

Maria had woken up to the smell of food she quickly ran down the steps to see everyone eating

"Good morning sleepy head" Paul stated " food is on the counter, pancakes , bacon and grab a fruit of your choice"

Maria grabbed her food and a glass of water a sat down at the table.

" thank you" Maria stated

" you dont have to thank us all of the time," Stephanie said " this is a normal thing for someone to do"

"ok"Maria said

"So you're going to raw with us??" Rosa asked

"yes, i am"

" we are going to get some shopping done before we go to raw," Stephanie said

"i called steve about what happened last night and he let your counselor know and your counselor want you to call him when you have a chance," paul said " im sorry if you didnt want them to know but i figured you need to sleep though the night eventually"

" I know its something we should talk about more. It really hasn't been a main point brought up a lot" Maria said shyly " can I call him now?? real quick I promise"

" take 3 bites of you pancakes first please" Stephanie said " wait" applies syrup to her pancakes " not eat 3 bites"

Maria takes her 3 bites " it really good" she says

Paul dials her counselor's number and hands maria the phone.

"you can go in the living room if you dont want us to here you talk" Paul said

Maria walked into the living room.

~Phone convo~

Jordy: hello

Maria: hi its maria

Jordy: Hi Maria I heard what happened last night mind telling me what the nightmare was about.

Maria: george (adoptive father), rape, hit (at point of tears)

Jordy: its ok Maria. Its ok. I want to meet your new foster parents and see where you are at if thats ok??

Maria: i will ask.

Mara walks into the kitchen/dining area maria tilts the phone away from her mouth

"My counselor wants to know if its ok to stop by here??" Maria asks

"kind of weird isnt it??" Paul asks

"no for her situation paul" Stephanie said "its fine honey, do want us to give him directions??"

"I'll ask" Maria said and then put the phone near her mouth

Maria: do want directions to the place

Jordy: yes, please

Maria: ok here is stephanie

Maria hands the phone to stephanie. Stephanie gives directions and then gave the phone back to Maria.

Maria: Hi

Jordy: ok i will be there in 20 minutes ok??

Maria : ok bye jordy

Jordy: by Maria

Maria gave paul his phone back and her breakfast. Once she was done eating she did the dishes and then watched tv (rare accurance for her) until Jordy got there.

"Jordy this Paul and Stephanie my foster parents, " Maria said

"hi nice to meet you" Jordy said politely
