Addison

I woke up on a Saturday morning to dad shaking me.

"Hay were gonna have a daddy daughter day", he smiled.

"Just me", I smiled.

"Just you", he smiled.

"Okay", I said jumping out of bed. I cherished the times dad and I were together because he always was doing something else.

"Can I pick out your outfit", he said in a girly voice.

"Sure", I said laughing.

I went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth. When I got back out the bathroom my dad was picking my outfit out.

"How's this", he said holding a burgundy sun dress.

"It's perfect", I smiled.

Once I put it on I topped it with black high tops and went downstairs.

We got in the car and dad bought us breakfast.

"Where are we going", I said looking out the window.

"Our favorite",he said. I looked at him and smiled.

"Pizza", I asked.

"No silly chick fil a", he said.

"YES",I screamed.

Once we ordered and found a seat dad got kinda serious for a second.

"What's wrong", I asked.

"Nothing I just have something to ask you", he said.

"Yeah", I asked.

"What would you say if I said I wanted to marry Emily", he said.

"Wait what", i said my eyes bulging out my head.

"Well Addison you heard me", he said.

"Why don't you ask cj he's older anyway", I said getting frustrated.

"Because Cj wasn't my first you were", he said.

"Cj wasn't with me since he was 3 Cj didn't lie to me when he was 7 about homework CJ doesn't get his uggs dirty you do but I love that you make me feel like a GREAT parent and so I come to you", he said.

"Oh", I said.

"Are you mad at me", he asked.

"No", I said not looking up.

"Look at me Addison", he said.

I didn't.

"Addison", he warned. I looked up tears filled my eyes.

"D-do you ever just think that I want everything to be like it was I had NO siblings I had NO mom I only had a dad that I loved to death I sometimes wish it was still like that I didn't have to share AT ALL", I said tears running down my cheeks. We got up and went to the car.

"Addison I know what you mean but don't you want me to be happy", he said.

"So I don't make you happy", I scoffed.

"Addison", he said.

"No. The answer is no I don't want you to marry Emily matter of fact I don't want you to do anything anymore I just want my dad back", I said in my hands.

"Addison", he said gentle.

"I want to think about it"

"That's fine", he said.

I stayed silent.

"What do you mean you want your dad back", he said barely audible.

"I didn't mean it like your taking it I was saying that I missed you and I, I miss JUST. You and I alone with no one else I miss Nash I miss Hayes I miss everything I miss Shawn I miss the jacks I miss Matt I miss Aaron", I cried.

"I miss the original family", I said lowly.

"Addison", he said for the third time.

"Can I think about it", I said wiping my tears.

"Whatever", he said I opened the door and took my phone out.

I called Hayes. He always made me feel like home. Even though I just don't know who to go to anymore.

"Hayes", I sniffled.

"Yeah", he said over the phone.

"Can we talk at the park across from my home", I said.

"Sure beautiful what's wrong", he said.

"I'm not beautiful", I said hanging up.

We met at the park.

"Yes you are", he said with a rose behind his back.

I smiled.

"Thanks", I said taking the rose.

"What's up", he said.

I just hugged him and cried in his shoulder.

I explained every last detail.

"Addison let him", he said.

"He probably already is", I spat.

"No he's not going to unless you say it's okay I know cam your his number one", he said.

"No but you don't under-"

"Yes I do how do you think I reacted when my mom wanted to marry my step dad", he said.

"Oh", I said.

"Just hug me and maybe you'll feel better", he said.

I did. I just let him hold me. For a long time. I just sat in his arms. He rocked me back and forth.

He stocked my hair. He repeatedly said that I'm gonna be okay.

"Addison look at me", he said. I did.

"Go home and tell your dad it's okay"

"But Hayes I d-"

He kissed me.

I looked at him after it was over.

"Okay", I whispered while smiling.

"Good girl", he said kissing my hair.

"I'm not a dog", I said smiling.

"Go", he said.

I did and walked home.

"He does care", I said to myself smiling.

Once I walked in my dad tackled me in hugs.

I was taken back.

"Don't ever do that again do you understand me", he said crushing me in a hug.

"What did I do", I said.

"I had no fucking idea where you were", he said hugging me still.

"Okay", I said.

"Are you okay", he said.

"I'm fine", I said.

"It's fine", I said to him.

"What is", he asked.

"What we were talking about", i said.

"Thanks baby", he said hugging me.

I kissed his cheek.

"I love you so much", he said.

"I love you more", i said.

"I love you most", he said.

"You always win", I fake pouted.

"I know", he smiled.
