Chapter 7

Camila was sitting with Hailee and Ally in Hailee's living room, watching Magic Mike and talking about boys and fresh gossip from the school. Unlike Ally and Camila who were seniors, Hailee was a sophomore. It didn't make any difference to the girls, they all got along just fine. In fact, Hailee and Ally lately started to spend more and more time together.

"I have to tell you guys something..." Hailee started "the other day I went to the basketball practice."

"Ally used to do that in our sophomore year and she got herself a boy named Troy." Camila joked

"Mine's boy named Chris." Hailee said

"Which one? There are two of them on the basketball team." Ally asked

Hailee looked at Camila and tried to hide her blush.

"Oh naahhh." Camila replied

"Please Mila? I will be nice and I will always be on your side if you and Dan get into a fight."

"Wait y'all what's going on?" Ally was slightly confused

"She wants me to set her up with Lauren's little brother." Camila huffed

"Damn those Jauregui genes." Ally said

"I know! Like, is everyone in that family perfect? He's so handsome and Lauren is like goodness of the beauty, and Tay is so cute. I just want to adopt them all." Hailee added

"If you adopt them you can't be with Chris."

"True, which brings us back to the start. Please Camila?" Hailee pouted

"I can talk to him, but only to see what he thinks of you girls from the cheerleading team."

"Fair enough." Hailee said and hugged the older girl

"I can't promise you anything though."

Ally was excitedly clapping until a deep voice interrupted them.

"Milz? What are you doing here babe?" Daniel asked

"I... uhhh..." Camila honestly had no idea what to say

"I told you my friends are staying over Dan. Thanks for visiting, goodbye." Hailee said and tried to push Daniel away

"Am I not allowed to say hi to my girlfriend?" He asked

Hailee looked at Camila and let out a sigh.

"Okay, 5 minutes, and no dirty business."

Daniel walked into the kitchen and Camila followed him.

"Hey." He said not knowing if Camila was feeling better or not

When Camila didn't reply he took a step closer and lifted up her face

"Camila, are you okay?" He asked gently

Again, no answer from Camila.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

Instead of an answer he got a hug.

"Is that a yes?" He asked

"Yes. When you get back from the city. I will probably still be up but if I'm not feel free to wake me up, please?"

"Is everything okay? Are you okay?" He asked

"Yeah I am." Camila said and kissed him

But the kiss gave her away. He could see the difference between this kiss and the ones they usually had. It was like she was sorry for doing something. Or for something she will do.
