"Why did you never tell me about this?", I shouted at him, throwing 

the booklet on the floor. Tears were running down my face.

"Please Emily, I know you are mad now but I can explain this", Liam 

stuttered. He held something in his hands that suddenly slipped out

of his hands. 

"Don't try to speak out, I'm so hurt! You didn't trust me the whole time!

And Bob was right, why did you hit your sisters?! I thought we were 

together and could trust each other?!", I sobbed and sat down on 

Liam's bed. I couldn't think straight anymore.

"There's so much to explain, but please not now. I've been finally

through the auditions and I wanted to celebrate with you, babe..",

he mumbled with tiny tears in his puppy eyes. I had to resist them,

because I always felt for this hangdog look!

"No, Liam. Not this time. I trusted you and thought I would know you.

But as it seems I don't. I'm sorry, Liam. I can't do this anymore", I cried

and hugged Liam a last time. I would never trust him again, I swore 

myself in this moment. I left the room and turned my back on Liam.

It hurt so much. Liam was my best friend and my boyfriend at the same 

time. And now everything seemed ruined because he couldn't open 

himself in front of me. I just walked back to my house and threw myself

on my bed. I didn't want to get out of my room for at least 2 weeks but 

I had to go to school...

When I went to school the next day, Liam wasn't there, fortunately.

He seemed to be busy with the rehearsing for the X-Factor.

Now I could finally refrain from him, though it hurt. I had nobody

to talk to or to run to. 

A few days later, Liam called me on my phone but I was too afraid

to pick up because I haven't talked to Liam since I left him that day.

And I was afraid that everything would come back, my feelings for

him and every single memory I shared with him. I stared at the 

display for minutes before I decided to not pick up.

 Then finally, the day for the live shows was here. I still didn't know

if Liam made it through the judges houses, so I turned on the TV

and started watching the X-Factor. I didn't listen all the time and 

so I almost missed when a known face appeared on my screen.

"LIAM!", I yelled through the house and my mum entered the living

room. She seemed confused because she knew about the break-up.

"What's the matte--..", my mum asked and then looked to the TV.

"He made it through the judges houses!", I screamed and a little 

teardrop ran down my cheek. Why was I so happy about this? 

We weren't together anymore and now that he was becoming 

famous, he wouldn't care about me either way.

When he started singing, I immediately stopped screaming around.

He had an angelic voice and I started crying. 

I turned off the TV and went to bed. On one hand, I hated myself for

breaking up with Liam but on the other hand, he lied to me all the

time when we were in a relationship. I couldn't trust him anymore 

though he had such an angelic voice. I still remembered when he

used to sing to me under the big tree in our park.

The next day, my mum woke me up because she had to tell me 

something important. She told me to pick out my prettiest dress

and get ready as fast as possible. I was really confused because

I didn't know what was going on..

"You will be surprised, but please don't just start being upset!", my

mum said as I got in her car. I couldn't finish my breakfast at all 

because my mum was so excited and I didn't know what was going

on at all.

We drove for half an hour, when my mum suddenly stopped.

"Emily please don't be mad now at me. I can't watch you be so 

sad all the time, so I finally did something. You can get out of 

the car now", my mum mumbled.

I just nodded and got out of the car. Where was I?
