Lapis grinned, closing the laptop. This was just too perfect.

Best. Dare. Ever.

Due to yesterday's... Incident... Lapis decided to check up on what questions or dares had been given. And she was quite glad that she had.

"Oh Peri~!"

Up, down, left, bottom right trigger, top left trigger, left, right, down, up, third trigger.
Her character glowed momentarily on the screen before growing thrice its normal, tiny size. The words "Final Boss" flashed on the screen, and the start button appeared.

This was it.

This was the moment she had been fighting for. Just this one, last level, and she would have beaten the game.
Reaching for her Mt Dew, she pressed the appropriate button to begin. However, her hand was met with air as she grasped around blindly for her drink. Her brow drew together in confusion as she absently watched her character confront the Snerson Commander.
A small giggle alerted her of a certain, blue gem almost right next to her, and she scowled, her eyes flicking up to meet the water gem's.
Lapis held up her half-drunk bottle of soda, shaking it slightly to taunt her. "What~? Is Peri thirsty?" Lapis near-purred. "Because I can fix that."
A blush burned against her cheeks at the girl's forward nature, and she growled in response, "Shut up, Clod. And give me my drink!"
"Hmm..." Lapis tapped her chin thoughtfully, keeping the desired object out of the green gem's reach. "Let's make a deal."

Peridot groaned.

"You complete your dare, and I'll give you back your drink. That is, assuming you'll still be thirsty."

"Just give me my freaking drink, you dimwit! I don't care if I've got a - wait... I've got a dare?"

Lapis nodded, smirking almost evilly.
Peridot narrowed her eyes at the blue gem, frowning. "And how exactly would you know?"
"I hacked into Steven's message board." She replied nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders. "It was easy. His password was 'Connie'."

"...What was the dare?"

The blue gem giggled in response, swinging a leg over Peridot and settling down onto her lap. "You have to kiss back. In fact, more than one person requested it."
"What!?" The green gem immediately tried to stand but was pushed back down by the ocean gem. "I'm not going to- I'm not about to- I can't- won't-!"
"Won't what? Kiss me?" Lapis teased, gentle fingers slipping up to cradle Peridot's face. "You already have once before."
"I- You- That doesn't count!" She growled, a blush rising to her face. "It was either that or have Jasper continuously mess with you."
"If you say so." She grinned, her forehead bumping against the green gem's and residing there. Their noses brushed together, and Lapis's breath was warm against her mouth. "But, I think it was because you were jealous."
Green eyes locked onto playful blue ones, and soft lips grazed against her own.
"And if I was? What would that prove?" She retorted, though her voice was uncharacteristically soft.
"It would prove," lapis hummed, "That somewhere in the cold, robotic heart of yours... You care. And that's enough for me."

"...you're delusional."

"If I am, then reality is gonna hurt like a bitch when it slaps me across the face."

"No kidding."

"Well, what are you waiting for? A dare's a dare." Lapis asked. "The sooner you'll get it over with, the sooner you can finish your game."
"I'm waiting on you." She replied. "If I recall correctly, the dare was for me to kiss back."
Lapis grinned, a chuckle escaping her. "True... Well, close your eyes."

"Why?"

"Because."

"...Fine."  Peridot groaned, doing as she was told. "Happy?"
Lapis gave a small, adorable noise of approval, before gently pressing her lips against Peridot's.
Almost instantly, her stomach erupted into a fluttering mess, and she had to refrain from scowling at the feeling.
Only Lapis had ever managed to bring out such reactions within her.

And she couldn't help but wonder if she did the same thing to the girl sitting on her, or if this was just some elaborate joke to her.

Slowly, Lapis's mouth began to move against hers, provoking the green gem into a gentle pace.
Her lips were soft against Peridot's, and she seemed confident yet unrushed.

It was... Nice.

Hesitantly, she responded, her hands resting against the ocean gem's waist as she pulled the other closer.
She tilted her head to the side, pressing upward gently and coaxing a giggle from the blue gem.
"Clod" Lapis grinned as she hesitantly pulled back - though, her forehead remained resting against Peridot's.

"Aww, isn't this such a sweet sight for sore eyes." Someone stated sarcastically, causing them both to jump and look their way.
The new character dropped their duffle bag to the ground, and it landed with a heavy thump. Her black, combat boots scraped against wood as they made their way slowly towards the two of them. Her outfit consisted of a thick, black material used for both the pants and the jacket; silver, jingling dog tags; black, fingerless gloves; and a name tag seen on the jacket that read '1890'.
Peridot couldn't help but note how the character looked as if she had come directly out of one of the green gem's video games as she came to a stop.
"The name's Serena." She blew a few strands of hair out of her face, grinning almost sinisterly as she crossed her arms. "I just got out of training a day ago."

"...and? What are you doing here?"

"Well, you see..." She chuckled, leaning down so that she and Peridot were face to face. "I heard my lil' brother finally turned bad."
