The Vampire Next Door

Chapter 3

{Harry's P.O.V}

"I don't know" i simply replied. saying no is just rude, i mean she's trying to be nice. And I don't wanna say yes either, i just don't want anyone in this neighborhood to know me well or be my friend. I've got a lot of secrets to keep, and once i have a friend, there's no doubt i'm gonna spill them out. So i stay away as much as possible from humans. "What do you mean i don't know?" She asked confused. Gosh. Human women just don't get me. i didn't feel like explaining at all so i just left it out with "Nothing''. i took my saw that i was working with earlier and headed back to the house.

I opened the door and went inside, kicking my converse and moving it aside. There's a smell. Blood. It is apparently in my house, I rushed towards the smell.. someone's in my house. I opened the door to reveal my friends. Vampire friends. "Hiiii" They sing-song-ed together in unison. "Hey" I frowned, still sniffing "What's that smell?". "Oh we just came back from hunting" Luke smirked. Luke's my best mate. He had a dirty blond hair, and piercing blue eyes. And the others, Jake, Louis, Alex were great buddies as well. "Wanna join? We can always do round 2" Alex suggested. He took a seat on a couch and fliped his hair. "I'm good" I sighed.

"Harry, mate, are you ok?" Alex asked concerned. I usually never say no to hunting, but the last few weeks were devastating.. since my girlfriend had died last month..

"Harry" Jake said "If you stay like this you're not helping yourself! or helping her! You have been quitting almost any activity we do and all you do is stay indoors for a long time. It's time to move on"

"C'mon!" Louis started clapping, making me jump in startle. "Let's take him somewhere fun"

Through the whole time I stayed quiet, taking in every word they said. "We're going to the bar, even if it's in the afternoon, it will be dim in there. Let's go" Louis announced still clapping his hands. That weird cheeky lad. i cracked a smile at his stupidity, and went upstairs to get changed.

{Sarah's P.O.V}

I was washing the dishes after having lunch with my mom, my headphones were in, and I was listening to music really loudly. Then I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, I turned to see my mum talking to me, her lips were moving but all i hear is my music. It looked as if she was doing lip-sing terribly. I chuckled at the thought and removed my headphones. The music could be heard clearly as i removed them, it must have been really loud. "Honey, I've been calling you. Can you come to the living room? I need to tell you something" Mum informed and left to the living room. What did she wanna tell me? I dried my hands and followed her anxiously to the living room. "Is everything ok?" i asked as i sat at the couch.

"Yes, honey. I wanted to tell you that, um, my interview and tutorial went good-"

"Oh yeah! I forgot to ask you how it went!" I interrupted "Sorry, go on''

"Anyways, they offered me something better." She paused "I can be a 'first assistant', meaning that I will be assisting the doctor the whole time. This job is twice better than the one i've been offered. An it's all in the same hospital,if i don't like my new job, I'll switch to my old one!"

"That's great!" I commented.

"But there's only one minor problem" She continued "I might take night shifts, i mean, as the assistant, i should be with the doctor wherever he goes". i nodded understandingly. She smiled and wiggled a little on the couch, making herself comfortable "And, yeah!, that's it.. i just wanted to tell you that"

we watched TV together for a while, then i went upstairs and jumped to the bed to get some sleep. Tomorrow Mia and Chloe are going to show me around town. My head dipped in the pillow comfortably. As I was drifting to sleep, I heard loud banging on our door. What the hell? I glanced at my clock that sat on the small table beside me. 1:05am. you're kidding me. i stumbled lazily downstairs as my mom appeared from her room to check who was on the door as well. i opened the door carefully and saw...
