My mouth immediately let out a quiet gasp. This was the first time I see them come out of Harry's mouth. They looked sharp, a little frightening too. Harry noticed what has captured my attention as he closed his mouth immediately. "I..uh.." He stuttered, quickly bringing himself off of me. I looked at him, confused. "I"ll be right back."

"What? W-where are you going?"  I asked, trying to hide my fear. He's not doing this again. Not now.

"I'll be back. I have to take care of something." And before I knew it, he left the cabin. 'Stop overreacting. He'll be back.' I kept thinking to myself. I toyed with the necklace he gave me for a while, to distract myself from thinking of what he had gone to do. His fangs appeared all of a sudden and his eyes gave the shade of red that I have seen enough of tonight. To my general knowledge of vampires, this meant that he got thirsty. Which meant that another innocent person is going to be killed tonight. This thought made me fear Harry. This even got me thinking... he could have killed me to satisfy his thirst. What if he went out of control one day and ended up killing me? He promised he won't hurt me, but I still have my own fears.

After what seemed like hours, though it was only a few minutes, he came back, making me snap out of my fearful thoughts. Both of us were silent. I didn't need an explanation for where he went because for the first time in forever, I knew. I felt his gaze on me, but I kept looking down on my lap, biting my lip. "Bet you're thinking differently of me," He spoke quietly. I didn't respond. I wanted to tell him something, anything, to make the tension in the room disappear, but I couldn't. I didn't know what to say. "If it was up to me, you know I wouldn't hurt anyone."

I looked up at him, all I could see is his silhouette. I knew that he couldn't control his thirst. However, it was still hard for me to process that. It was still hard to acknowledge the fact that my boyfriend killed people uncontrollably, even though he didn't want to. Harry was still waiting for me to say something, so I let a quiet, "I know."

He carefully made his way back to the bed, laying down next to me, not touching me just yet. Seeing that I didn't have a reaction, he slipped his arm around my waist, and pulled me closer to him. "Have you lost control before?" I asked carefully. I felt his body tense, his grip around my waist tightening a little.

"Why would you ask that?"

"I don't know, but what if you lose control one day and end up..." I trailed off.

"I won't. I would never hurt you. You should know that by now, Sarah," He replied. "I'm trying to control myself as much as I could." I eased up at his words. I now know that he is at least trying to maintain himself. This made me scoot even closer to him and nuzzle my head into his chest. "I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this," He said quietly. Well, to be honest it was a hell a lot to deal with. My own house burning, the fact that my boyfriend cannot control what he kills, The Masters, everything. It's really weird how I haven't lost my mind yet. How am I actually still processing all of what's going on? The funny thing will always be how all of this happened in one night.

"What would happen if they suddenly appeared at the door?" I wondered quietly. Harry knew what 'they' was referring to.

"I don't know, but they're not hurting you. I won't let them," He answered, "I promise."

I woke up the next morning, not wanting to get up. I was so tired. Maybe if I slept for a whole week it would have been a good idea to me. I looked around, scanning the room I was in. I could finally see it with the daylight coming directly from the window, making the room see more alive.  There was a small wooden closet across the bed, to my left was a small hair dresser, and finally that chair in the corner that had my clothes from last night. I turned my gaze to the other side of the bed, it was empty. Where was he? I finally gained the strength to get up. I made my way across a mirror, then went back to check myself. I looked horrible. My hair being its usual morning mess, only this time I didn't have a hairbrush. Harry's sweatpants were too big on me, making me look funny too. The one thing that did capture my attention though, was the new jewellery around my neck. I had a closer look and stared at the necklace, no wonder it looked so familiar. It was the necklace Harry gave to me on New Years Eve. I smiled, although I was very confused. How did he manage to save it from the burning in the house? He must've grabbed it from my hairdresser when I wasn't looking or something. My gaze went back to my reflection and my smile instantly disappeared at the mess that was staring back. I need a shower. I groaned and left the room, looking for a bathroom in this cabin to make myself look a little decent.
