Enrique walked me to my apartment door and after saying our "See ya later's" I went inside my apartment. Charles wasn't home yet, so I started on dinner. I decided I'd make steak and potatoes.
A few moments later, Charles walked through the door.
"Hey babe!" I yelled from the kitchen as I turned the stove on, "How was work?"
"Who was that dude you was talkin to?"
I looked at Charles and he had a mad look on his face.
"What?"
"The nigga next door."
"What? That's Enrique. I told you about him in the voice-mails."
Charles scoffed and took off his suit jacket.
"Whatever."
"What?!"
"Nothing."
I rolled my eyes and started to slice the potatoes.
"Why you so grumpy?" I asked.
He sighed and sat at the small table against the wall.
"I guess I had an interesting day."
"What happened babe?"
He rolled his eyes, "That bitch Ariel works with me at the studio."
I stopped cutting the potatoes and looked at him.
"Your ex?!"
"She's not my Ex Jodie!"
I sighed, "Whatever Wolf-" oops, "Charles... I mean."
"Seriously?!" He yelled.
"It was an accident!"
It honestly was.
He clenched his fists together, then slowly took a deep breath. He let it out then closed his eyes, "She's not my ex."
"Okay babe! Sorry.. Damn."
He was silent, so I didn't say anything to him. It felt like hours had gone by with us being silent.
"Let's just start over, okay?" He finally asked.
I put the steak and potatoes on a plate for him and I, then walked it over to the table. I sat across from him at the small, wobbly, wooden table and set the plates down.
"Fine," I muttered.
"Sorry for getting angry with you, I guess."
"It's okay."
He started to eat his steak avoiding eye contact with me.
"So what did Ariel say?" I asked cutting my steak.
He sighed and swallowed his food, "She was tryna seduce me but-"
"Seriously?!"
"Yeah but-"
"Who the fuck does she think she is?!"
"Babe I-"
"How did she even recognize you?!"
"Hey Jodie?"
"What?"
"You know you my baby, right?"
I sighed and started to eat my steak.
"You hear me?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Let me hear you say it."
I smiled, "No!"
"Say it."
"No!" I could feel myself blushing.
He smirked at me, "Say 'I'm Wolf's Princess."
I gasped and looked at him.
"W-What?"
"Say 'I'm Wolf's Princess'!"
I haven't thought that in so long.
I grinned, "I'm Wolf's Princess."
He reached forward and traced his fingers through my hair.
"Now say 'I'm Charles's Queen."
I felt tingly inside. I guess I had never really let go of Wolf... I just had to realize that he was sitting right in front of me.
"I'm Charles's queen."

Charles was asleep in bed, while I stayed up on my laptop.
How am I gonna pay these bills.
I only had enough to pay half for this month..And I know Charles just got a job.
No forget that.
I'll never ask him for money.
I had already got my aunt Monroe to help me out last month... I can't ask her again.
Even though she's a billionaire.

I heard my phone buzz.
Kat: How's things going with Mr. De Leon?
I laughed.
Me: You heard?
Kat: Enrique told me. I just can't believe you didn't tell me!
Me: lol sorry boo. I've been really busy.

Me: I swear I'm gonna kill him!!!!!!!!!
Kat: Lmao! Don't worry!
Me: I'm gonna find you a man, Kat.
Kat: girl don't even worry. I'm fine.
Me: Oh come on. I wanna have double dates!
Kat: Well honestly I wasn't gonna tell you because I know how you are. But there's this guy....
I squealed, then covered my mouth and looked at Charles.
Still asleep.
Man he's a heavy sleeper.
Me: WHAT'S HIS NAME?! WHERE'S HE LIVE?! IS HE CUTE?!
Kat: lmao see! You're so annoying!
Me: I'M SETTING YOU GUYS UP.
Kat: Trust me Boo... I got it.
