Chapter 3

Sasuke noticed how freaked out Sarada looked as he told her the date. "Did you figured out something?" He asked. Sarada's eyes widened at Sasuke's question. Damn, her Papa's smart.

"Yes." She answered, almost shyly. "I'm from year xx."

Sasuke's eyes widened at realization so did Juugo's and Karin's. Time travel. They mentally agreed. As crazy and unbelievable it looked, it's actually happened. He is standing in front of his future daughter. Now that he looks closely, he could see his and Sakura's features in her face.

"How did you ended up in here?" Karin asked Sarada.

"I don't know. I was just helping Mama arranging papa's library and fall asleep there but when I woke up I was in the forest. I first thought that Bolt might be pranking me but after a while I got scared and that's when you came." She explained.

Wait a second, if she is back in the past her Uncle Itachi must be alive. She could meet him. But how? Maybe she could ask papa. Yes that's it.

"Papa, Can I meet Uncle Itachi?" She looked at her father hopefully. But Sasuke's face darkened and his body went stiff.

"Who told you about him?" He asked harshly, bit immediately regretted when he saw Sarada flinched.

"You did. You told me about the clan and uncle Itachi's Sacrifice. But you never told me about his death. Whenever I asked you become sad and always said that you regret your actions and the meaningless revenge." She managed to say in one breath.

"Suigetsu, Juugo and Karin. Leave." Said Sasuke, very harshly. They got the message and left the father/daughter duo. Sasuke knelt on the ground and grabbed Sarada's shoulders gently.

"I need you to tell me everything.." Sarada looked confused but nodded anyway.

Sasuke took Sarada's hand and lead her to the to the three. He sat her on the tree branch before sitting there himself. Sarada looked Sasuke, who was looking around to see if they are alone and after confirming he looked at Sarada to continue.

"First of all, do you know about Uchiha Clan Massacre?"

Sarada nodded.

"And who did it?"

"Uncle Itachi did."

Sasuke looked at his daughter to see any signs of hatred or grief but was surprised to see her eyes shining with pride.

"And What do you mean by 'Sacrifice' and 'regretted meaningless revenge'?"

"Mama, told me about how the Uchiha Clan was planning the coup to start the civil war in secret. But Uncle Itachi and Uncle Shisui disagreed and told it to the Hokage. The counsel gave him a choice either to choose village or Clan. Danzo, one of the counsil member ordered him to kill the entire clan but Uncle Itachi really loved you. So, he asked that you have to be spared and he will take all the blame."

Sasuke was shaking, his fists were clenched on the material of his pants, his eyes were close as he listened to her daughter. It makes sense. But he didn't want to believe it. He could feel sob bubbling in his throat.

Sarada looked at her father, concerned. Then she heard it. A sob. Her Papa's shoulders were shaking, tears were streaming down his face. Instinctively, she wrapped her small arm around him as Sasuke cried on her shoulder. She stroked his head gently as she saw her Mama doing when she cried.

"Hush, papa. Everything's gonna be alright." Sasuke squeezed her small body into his chest. He was hurt, yes. He was angry? Yes. All his life, he followed the meaningless goal. His whole life was a lie.

Sasuke pulled back and looked at Sarada. She raised her hand and wiped away the tears. She then raised her hand and poked him at his forehead. Sasuke's lips twitched into a small, barely noticeable smile.

He cleared his throat. "Let's go."

"Where?"

" home.." Sarada looked at him excitedly.

"To Mama?!"

"Yes. To Mama." Sasuke smiled at his bundle of joy.

They walked to the area where The rest of the team Hebi sitting. Karin was the first to notice.

"Change of plans. We are going to Konoha."

Karin's and Suigetsu's jaw dropped. Juugo stared at Sasuke to bouncing Sarada and nodded.

"But what about Itachi?" Karin sputtered.

"Leave him be for now."

And they sat out to Konoha.
