I knock on the door and Alyssa's father quickly opens it, he look right past me as if I wasn't there. "Go sit down" he says in a low voice. I quickly sit next to Alyssa and I lean near her. "It'll be okay I promise." Alyssa nods and her father sits down on the chair across from us.

"Separate." He says and Alyssa and I scoot down to the ends of the couch.

"Now, we only have to wait for your parents Finn"

"My parents my mother's is too sick to leave the house." I say.

"You still have a father." Mr. Barnes replies briskly.

I try to speak again then I close my mouth. I wait for him to come, I look down and sometimes at Alyssa who is looking at me the whole time. The buzzer finally rings and Mr. Barnes lets in my dad who is in a suit.

"Mr Wright could you take a seat right there." Mr Barnes says pointing to the middle of the couch.

My dad takes a seat and I scoot away farther away from him but ignores that.

"Mr Wright I know you missed a meeting for this so lets get started."

"Call me Harris and yes we should."

Mr Barnes looks at me to tell him and I began to speak.

"First, this is all my fault, if anything don't punish Alyssa."

"I'll decide what happens when you tell me what happened" My dad says looking at me.

"I'm....pregnant..." Alyssa says breaking out of the haze she was in.

My dad looks at Alyssa then at me. "Where? when? how?" he asks.

"When you took me home from school that one day, at my house." I reply.

My dad runs his hand through his hair. "I never thought you were the one to do such a thing."

"Well you never really raised me so." I say before feeling something hit me.

"Don't talk to your father like that." My dad says.

I glare at him and I noticed that Alyssa back to her haze and I try to calm down.

"Any ways have you contacted her mother?"

"No, I haven't gotten the chance to yet." Mr Barnes says. "Alyssa might need to call her to see what her mother wants to do about keeping the child."

"Wait, you wanted to keep the child?" I say looking at Alyssa.

Alyssa looks at me scared before getting up and running up the stairs.

"Alyssa!" Mr. Barnes and I yell running after her.

I run up the stairs about to pass Mr Barnes but my dad grabs my collar and forces me to stop.

"Let the father talk to his child."

I shake him off and sit back down on the couch and cross my arms and not long Mr. Barnes comes downstairs.

"She won't let me talk to her."

"Let me go." I say.

"No." The fathers say together.

"You'll be risking not only Alyssa but the baby climbing out the window while we speak, don't tell me she wouldn't." I say.

Mr Barnes sighs. "I don't know."

"She's building her rope out of the sheets now."

"Fine!" Mr Barnes says.

Quickly I run up stairs and knock on the door.
