Smile

I never thought I would be here. My mother is sick and is stuck in bed and my dad is with a new woman each night. I'm bullied at school and I come home to a house where I take care of myself, In my spare time I work at a fabric store. I walked to my locker and it is covering in graffiti telling me to go home and transfer. Ignoring it I open my locker in shove everything to my locker and started to walk to my class. "Hey Finn!" a person calls.  I turn around quickly and as something is flewn at me. "Go home!" They yell and I just turn around and walk away I had to ignore them I would be suspended if I fought again and staying home for a week would be worse. As I walk down the hallway I crash into a few boxes someone was holding. "Ah!" she yelps as the boxes fall on the ground. "Great all my supplies!" she says and she quickly picks them up. She looks at me gently as I look at her and the boxes on the floor. "Could you help me?" I look at her and then turn around and began to walk. The girl apears infront of me and quickly starts moving her hands infront of me. "What the hell are you doing!" I yell at her annoyed, she looks at me and stands there still. "So you ignored me? Anyways could you help me? You did knock down my stuff" I huff under my breath. "Your annoying leave me alone."  The girls grabs my hands and drags me the the boxes and gives me two boxes to carry and she picks up two. "It's not the far away from here." I roll my eyes and I follow her to a empty room. "Urgh, that was so heavy!" the girl mutters and opens the boxes. "Okay put the boxes right there." I do as she said and I began to try to leave. "Felix, thats my name" she says. "Finn" I reply to her. Felix now turns around and smiles, "I hope I'll see you again Finn you seem like a nice guy you probally have...." I cut her off quickly by saying shut up and walk away. As I walk away I think about what Felix looked like: she was a shoulder length red head   and hazel eyes, she looked like a cat. I shake off the odd encounter and go to class where my seat has been taken out of. "Looks like you didn't get the memo!" A classmate calls at me. "You should of listen when I said go home" The class shouts in laughter as I look at the empty space where my desk used to be in. I turn around and walk to a empty room and pick up a desk and bring it to the classroom. During the hour I had to be in there I was left alone.

After school I shuffled to get to the fabric store on time taking my mothers old bike when it had a flat tire. "Finn!" Alyssa calls to me. I set down my bike in the back and turn to her. "Alyssa, your late for once?" Alyssa brushes back her long brown wavy hair and laughs. "Oh shut up Finn, lets get inside." I nod and we walk inside and get our aprons on. "Wanna head to the fabric cutting station today we can talk there?" Alyssa asks. "No I rather run cashier." I reply and Alyssa glares at me. "Or I can help you" I quickly say with a smile on my face. Alyssa gets started helping some customers while find some shears. "Did ya ever buy a sewing machine yet Finn?" Alyssa starts to say. "No you know I do have the money for one." I reply still my head in a cupboard. "Alright what ever you say, 22!" Alyssa calls. "I bet you haven't even buy fabric yet, 23!" I taunt. Alyssa lets out a huff and looks at me. "In fact I have it is.......um...uhhh....red polka-dotted.... uh yeah! and I have a white zipper!" I laugh at her stuggle to lie. "Okay I haven't" Alyssa says sheepishly. "but I'm going to buy some soon anyways!" I let out another laugh and start cutting a girls fluffy brown fabric. "Finn! You work here?!" A confused voice says. Aylssa lets out a huff and walks past the table and to the person. "Are you a bully to Finn too? Because you got the nerve to come her and....."  

"Um I'm Felix you know the one who asked Finn to carry boxes with me." the girls says scared. I blik and notice the is Felix. "Alyssa calm i've just met her." I say touching her shoulder. Felix looks at me and then Alyssa and sighs. "So is this your Girlfriend?" Felix and Alyssa say at the same time, only Alyssa more silly. "Eh? Oh absulotely not" Felix says.  "Of course not I..." Alyssa says. I stand there hearing them sheepishly talk to each other dening being my girlfriend. "Wow you guys are so mean." I say in a childish voice. Alyssa and Felix then rush towards me and try to say I'm a good guy. "I'm kidding, Alyssa we actually need to work." I say. Alyssa pushes my shoulder semi-harshly. "Your mean Finn." Alyssa says and Felix then laughs at that comment and then looks back at me to cut the fabric she had out. "So Felix you sew?" Alyssa asks. Felix looks at Alyssa and nods. "Yeah, well see you later Finn and Alyssa" she says before she swiftly turns away and scurries down the asle. Alyssa and I contiue to work for another two hours before we pack up to go home. As we go out Alyssa looks at the sky. "How's your mom?" she asks. I look down and then anwser "Same, if not worse" We walk to the parking lot and grab out bikes and ride to Alyssa house, we say our goodbyes and I ride back to my house.
